I got MHAM on ds today (24th November 2007). I have nearly completed it and I think its a good horsey game, it has alot of extras that normal horsey games don't have.
Care: On MHAM on ds there are lots of things you can do to care for your horse. Here are the things you can do:
Cleaning the stall:
When you clean the stall you first have to scrape all of the dirty straw into a pile, next you put it into a wheel barrow. After that you have to wash the stall with a hose pipe. Once you have hosed the stall down you have to dry it with a squigee (sp?) its like a mop type thing. After you have dried the stall off you have to put new clean straw on the floor.
Feeding and watering:
As well as cleaning the stall you have to feed and water your horse, this involves clicking in the trough lots of times to fill it up and clicking on the food pile until your horse has enough food.
Taking care of your horses' horseshoes:
The first thing you do is knock off the clumps of dirt from your horses' hooves with the hoovepick. Secondly you use a magnifying glass to find cracks in your horses' hoove. Thirdly you use grease to fill the cracks in. Fourthly you must replace the nails in the horseshoe; use the pliers to remove the nails that appear red; put new nails in the horseshoe and tap the new nails twice with the hammer. Your horse will now have nice new horseshoes!
Washing your horse:
Use the hose to spray your horses' coat with water (until the specks of dirt turn blue.) You must then use a towel to dry your horse off. You must then groom you horse with a brush to make him nice and clean.
Taking care of your horses' legs:
Rub all 4 of your horses legs, then apply ointment to the legs, finish off by wrapping all 4 legs in bandages.
Removing parasites on your horses' coat:
Use the magnifying glass to find the parasites. Once you have found them you must put them to sleep using the flask of ether. Finish up my removing the sleeping parasites with some tweezers.
Teeth care:
Use the magnifying glass to find the teeth that need cleaning. Take the dental pick and scrape the decaying tooth. Finish the treatment by cleaning the gums with disinfectant.
That is just the care you can do, there is much much more! Including: Competitions where you can win credits, Trust (you can stroke your horse, feed it treats, dress it up in the tack you bought from the shop,learn a new training figure and teach the horse to answer your orders), Customising your rider with new riding clothes (you buy these at the shop), Shop where you buy horse tack, riding clothes and also items to increase your horses' endurance etc. Challenges, these are lots of different games where you win credits. I enjoyed this game, the competitions can be tricky and it took me quite a while to get my horse to jump. The graphics are also good (6.5/10, better than the pippa funnell on ds graphics in my oppinion) It would be better if you could breed horses on it and the graphics were a bit better, then it would be the perfect game! I hope you like my review!
