Also it looks like we are getting a Budokai type fighter which sounds pretty cool :) Looks like the poor Wii missed out on this one...Shame tonguegre

you think? i thought budokai 3 was the best game it even tops tenkaichi. i like the ability to choose you moves, and i never liked the 5 move restriction.

It does look promising. However, they still don't seem to be going forward with the advancement of dragonball z games (except from graphic wise, obviously.) Going back to budokai three style? Good in some aspects, bad in others. I read it will be a 2008 release; personally I believe they should make it much later and make a -GREAT- game, not just another mediocre one.

They gained some common sense and the fighting is more DBZ like now with frantic teleporting, dashing and more combos. It's a pretty epic game. Most rushes got replaced so most people are less generic (Frieza First Form has the best one tonguegre ) There's some videos of movesets and stuff on youtube. I dunno the guy's account though. Omega something.

As epic as the fighting style is the were dodgy aspects to the game
-Pros
-New fighting style system
-More dbz like
-More characters
-New leveling ability system (not very indepth though)
-Added a few new tourneys
-More stages
-Better Graphics
-Better named moves
-Better Story mode stage fights with speech during fights.
-Disk Fusion system, allows you to insert disk 1 and 2 of the alternate tenkaichi's and steal stuff from them example: ultimate battle (100 people battle featured in tenkaichi 2 or 1 i forget)
-Cons
-A lot of old stages used (exact replicas)
-Same original sequence of moves eg: still 1 button for punches and kicks
-Removed manual lockon (its now automatic but you must be able to see them in your screen). Manual was more fun
-Kept the multiples of 1 character for example 5 vegetas, and 5 gokus. >.> lame.
-Most characters has similar moves to the ones they had in DBZBT2 (your 5 list moveset, some characters had minor changes some had none, some had massive changes)
-They skipped most of the story fights, the saiyan saga (raditz --> end of vegeta) was cut down to 3 battles *tear* no more suiciding saibamen to yamcha.
-Tournements are only open at certain times, and you cannot control the difficulty settings of it. (So of the 5 tourneys only 1 is ever open at 1 time)
-With the lack of story mode stage fights, collecting dragonballs multiple times to get new characters/stages is a bother.
-Silly addons added example: Sim dragon, much like a sime game with not much visual (u cant move or anything) at the end of 10 days you fight, if u win u gain points and continue, if u lose your points go to 0 and u start over.
-Most characters are given to you when you start a new game

Omega 42040 or something like that. Does some good videos, his custome movesets are great.
Right, I'm back and it's time for MY opinion on Tenkaichi 3.
The Good:
Fighting is much more fluid, open and fast
Lots more teleporting involved, w/ some chars you can do unlimited teleports in MAX Power!
Less generic moves, especially the rush moves
Z items are no more useful and you only need to buy them once
More sorts of Blast 2 attacks (more dash-type attacks, think Hyper Tornado)
Demon King Piccolo! Other cool new characters as well
Most characters are already unlocked from the start
Story mode is shorter with talking during battles
Lots of new Tournaments and the rotating works well
Tons of Ultimate Battle modes and Online for Wii
Chi-Chi's Commentary for Character Illustrations are great, especially for Super Saiyans
The menu's look nicer than ever, and the character portraits and graphics
Evolution Z allows 3 sets of Z Items
The R3 system in DH works well
The Bad:
A bit slapdash, careless spelling and grammar mistakes. Text doesn't always match speech or make sense.
Voice acting and some moves recycled
Some silly choices of fights for Dragon History
Still no proper Super Trunks
The text still doesn't look as nice as BT, smaller with thicker black lines looks better to me
Can take ages to accumilate Z-Points (Currency)
Androids still suck
The Final Judgement:

Um Androids dont suck, so wat you cant charge up, thats the point... your energy replenishes quite fast while you opponents doesn't meanwhile you bash the **** out of them so they cant charge up thats how androids work
They only suck for you/the player if u can only win by KI

I did see that burst limit trailer and i didn't see "buu" in there at all, i seriously hope they dont go backwards on progress with the storyline.
Its on PS3 for god sakes 60% more SPACE wat more do u need to keep the entire storyline jeez.
i think its only up 2 the cell saga sad through :P.

Also Dbz budokai burst limit, according to hardcore fans buu, along with GT is in. In the First Trailer they just focus on what made dbz awsome, the saiyan saga and frieza saga. which is why they dont show much of cell either :)

The whole fun of games like budokai is the range and customisation of characters, like budokai 3 that took me forever to get 100%, months worth of gameplay. its games like that which are worth buying.

Tenkaichi 3 had the biggest range of characters though
but I know what you mean the fact you must replay levels and take different routes and train a character to 100%

But the range was still from, saiyan to omega, a lot of other facts make it fun.
like:
Transformations (ss1 --> ss4)
Fusion makes it more exciting.
The Long story modes.
More Characters to fight and customise.
well there must be more stuff in the game because it's on ps3 lol

Exactly Blueray has 60% more space on the disks, so i'm expecting and increase in graphics (which i have seen)

Its out on ps2 already but if you want it on wii you'll have to wait.
Also Expect major lagg for online play. The US currently Experiences it.
They may have different servers for around the world. or they may just have to fix them.

I know what you mean. I was expecting it 3D after Budokai Tenkaichi was
released, & then to resort in bringing back 2D is a bad look, especially now
that the 7th Generation Consoles are already out, a new
view with new experiences was what I had in mind. It seems like that
may not happen. :o

Its more budokai style, doesn't mean it will be like budokai 3, you never know they may splash the 3d aspect in. its only in its early stage sof development.

I plan to have both, one with the use of the original controller usage (ps2)
One with montion sensor usage and online play
i think australia get the wii version more of a chance of gettting it in feb then jan! so we will see xD dark:
The reason why this game looks more like the Budokai series it is because it is being developed by Dimps. I personally am glad that Atari have switched back to Dimps because of the that spike managed to puke up each year. I loved B3, and I'm really excited that the same developer is releasing a game for the ps3.
Also, is it true that in some countries it's gonna be called DBZ:Super Budokai?

u know i find it stupid almost to the point of calling atari a "dumbass" for not testing the online feature over a long distance.
BT3 on wii lags in the euro version as well, unfortunately as said by nintendo "once the players are connected to each other, thats all that remains a direct connection"
The problem is the game code in which atari has written which makes it lag and the only way its gonna be fixed is a patch for it OR redestributing a new disc which is not going to happen. Looks like we r stuck with a game with laggy online which will not be fixed.
That's true, soo say goodbye to your 60 € or your 55 $ lol way to go ATARI, ill never buy an online game from you again ! :mad:
