Unable to play the game, please help!

Hello there. :)

I have problems with the game "My Horse And Me". First of all when I install the game no icon appears on the desktop or anywhere else so I have to klick the file "Theponygame" and then the game tries to start. After a couple of seconds a window popup (with the headline "Serious Warning") with the text "No VideoQuality set. Using 'medium' quality. Then all I can do is to press OK and then nothing happends besides windows vista trying to find a reason why it was shut down. My graphic card is an ATI Radeon x600 PRO 256 mb and it supports Pixel Shader 2.0 and DirectX 10 so that shouln't be the problem. I also got a Intel Pentium 4 CPU with 3.2 GHz, 1 GB memory and a harddrive that has 50 GB of free memory.

Hope to get an answear.

That card doesn't support DirectX 10, but MHAM doesn't use DX10 anyway :p

Can you attach a dxdiag report? Go start->run and type dxdiag, then click save all information and attach the txt file to a post here (manage attachments button).

Oh yes it does, as I have directx 10 on my computer :)

By the way, I attached a DxDiag file, so please have a look. I also added a jpg file of how it looks when I try to start the game.

You may have dx10 installed but it doesn't mean the card can do dx10 functions :)

Try installing directX9 and see if that helps.

The new Windows Vista could be your ultimate problem... Vista is still new and it still has a lot of modifications to do... many games will not work on vista until they solve all the problems vista has. If that is not the problem then double check that you have all of your drivers updated new drivers come out almost every few months.
