One is about Dragon Ball Z Burst Limit, a new workmanship of the Bandai Namco, with Goku to appear thus in the new generation of you console during the year of 2008. But one knows that it is a game of share to the style of Budokai Tenkaichi 3, for what we will have to wait that the producer announces more information and images. With luck DBZ BL (Burst Limit) he will be so “delicious” as the series Budokai Tenkaichi, that the form is revolutionizing of as we face history Dragon Ball
Christmas has come early for all fans of Dragon Ball Z since Santa Namco Bandai has unveiled Dragon Ball Z Burst Limit. As expected, the series now spends on new generation consoles with a release planned for the year 2008 on Playstation 3 and ... Xbox 360.
The magazine V-Jump which took the first of information confirms that it's a fighting game in the same vein as the previous Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3. The Japanese magazine Shonen Jump disclosed “Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit ", the first game based on the famous series of done drawing exclusively for consoles of new generation. For the time being, the information are to that it is about a game of traditional fight (traditional to the style of “Dragon Ball Z”, is clearly). That is, it must be waited for many powerful blows and we speedly, beyond rays capable to destroy planets. Everything this also could be appreciated in a modality to multiplayer online. The publication affirms that the key of the victory is the “parts of drama”, showing a scene of Krilin. This makes to suggest the introduction of scenes as the episode that unchained the transformation of Goku in a Super Saiyajin, in the fight against Frieza. The game of the Bandai Namco is foreseen to appear in the Jump Party, event that happens in Japan in 22 and 23 of December, with confirmed presence of producers as Square Enix and Nintendo.

The upcoming fighter for the Xbox 360 & PlayStation 3 is indeed being developed by Dimps and has actually been in development for a bit (Dimps isn't exactly rusty; the Shin Budokai and Arcade Impact games have kept them busy). As Julian stated in the latest podcast episode, it will be featured in playable form at the upcoming Jump Festa this coming weekend. There are two screen-caps over on the website; one looks like something either from a cut-scene or super-move, while the other is that Goku vs. Freeza shot we've seen.

Tidbits

1. It's been in development for a while!
2. It's been confirmed that it will in fact be playable at the Jump Fiesta this coming weekend!!!! Anybody say....VIDS!

From "Greg" at Apforums

DBZ Burst is un-****ing real. It's like I predicted in the thread, just like you controlling the animation. All this in HUGE flowing environments. Words fail to describe, it's unlike anything you've ever seen outside of rendered cutscenes. I will try to play it tomorrow since I'll be arriving much earlier. I saw Yamucha, Vegeta, Tenshinhan and Goku available. Scheduled for release in Spring.

He got in line to play DBZ Burst Limit: It's only a 20 minute wait.

Greg: "Words fail to describe the graphics. It's a DBZ fan's dream-come-true. The in-game graphics look better than the character select screen drawings. Attacks can send opponents into new areas."

From IUP.COM

Bandai Namco also had some big playable debuts. Dragon Ball Z Burst Limit, playable on both the 360 and PS3 had awesome visuals, but didn't really seem to do too much to the DBZ formula.

12/25/07

From Greg at Apforums

Started with 1p VS 2p or 1p VS Com. I chose Com. I dunno if it would even let me choose VS 2p.

Characters available were:

Goku, Krillin, Tenshinhan, Yamcha, Nappa & Vegeta.

Backgrounds available on my machine were Raditz' capsule landing site & Yamcha's desert at sunset. I saw a stormy craggy wasteland and the waterfall scene I mentioned before on other machines.

There does seem to be an assist system, I did not see any evidence of it.

There was a system involving different strengths you can choose that come in sets of three, I only had ten minutes and was taking my time with menus so I didn't ponder over it too long. Next was selecting your ultimate move. Krillin had like Kienzan and Giant Kienzan and something else I didn't read since Giant Kienzan sounded just dandy. Goku had Kame Hame Ha but screw that I said, and went with Genki Dama. I chose Yamcha for Com's assist? (again not sure of specifics or if the system was even in play)

I've said it countless times but the BG's are breath-taking. In the same respect, they're terribly dissapointing at this stage being far less interactive than anything witnessed on the PS2 or Wii versions. I noticed a few trees but never interacted with them and couldn't send anyone crashing into the beautiful mountains in the BG. Let's hope it's work in progress.

The graphics...just...just amazing. I mean really folks. This is it. While the mouth movements still look somewhat off, they aren't the South Parkian flapping jaws of Sparking. But the models. THE MODELS!!!! ACK!!!!

I'm telling everyone now, until there is a HD download available of the trailer, you have not seen anything.

So the game.

Well, it reminds me of what I vaguely remember of Sparking. Just seems a lot more tight than I recall. The responses are somewhat laggish but I think that's part of the overall system. Someone might push 'Attack' expecting a quick Street Fighter jab but it doesn't work that way. Going into the command menu I could see a list of interesting input combinations that could be not only strung together, but also countered in a number of interesting Dragonballish ways. Then when I tried out some of the commands, even though the initiation was ever so slightly delayed, once started, it became this chain of furious punches kicks, etc. etc. which could end in a number of ways. The AI was not terribly intelligent but since I was playing next to 6-year olds I can imagine there was a reason for that. There were a series of meters and gauges. I didn't bother with them because....well because I didn't want to bother with them. They seemed to fill automatically. I could tell one was a ki guage because everytime I did anything ki-related ( O button) it went down only to build back up. Square did attacking aaaaaand I didn't bother with X or triangle much at all. All I did was initiate a combo which put down the Com giving me a chance to initiate Genki Dama (Up + O) and the longer I held O the bigger it got. If the Com wasn't down/distracted, they'd respond in turn with a weaker ultimate move by charging less time than me and damaging me.

I saw other players that upon clashing at the exact time initiated an in game cut scene (very much like the show) showing their faces up close via split screen which initiated a brief power struggle via button input the intricacies of which were lost on me.

In initiating a particularly long combo I scared myself as I sent the Com flying into the sky were we finished the rest of our battle. A number of ingame cutscenes were sprinkled throughout (I'm assuming corresponding to life as Krillin was saying, "I can't win if it goes on like this!") and I also saw other players were able to initiate some truly fancy ultimate moves HOWEVER, I'm not sure if they were real time or cinematic, THAT'S HOW GOOD IT LOOKS. What I assumed was a cutscene on a players' screen may very well have been them merely charging a move just like I charged Genki Dama. I dunno, we'll see I guess.

Anyway, I kicked Krillin's *** twice with a Genki Dama finish twice, end of story.

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it."

New! 1/2/08 from Gohanks0

It's more than 20 years since the first game based on "Dragon Ball" came out in Japan, for an obscure videogame known as Super Cassette Vision. From there to here, has been prolific games based on the work of Akira Toriyama, passed by several generations of consoles. Now, the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 for the first time receive a title of the class of Son Goku.

Thus, the look is one of the points of emphasis of "Burst Limit," which brings the famous "warriors Z" at high resolution. Lutadores as Goku, Gohan, Vegeta and Frieza appear with more definition than ever and the visual effects are more fireworks than ever.

The fight game is in 3D, which brings two points. One is the confrontation body - to-body, in which each fighter brings an arsenal of moves fast and powerful, and the style of the design. But in the medium and long distance, the warriors can engage in a battle of lightning, with the right to scenes of cinema.

The gap in "Burst Limit" is the system "drama piece," that enable individuals episodes of fighters, passing to obtain benefits. Events are coming directly from the cartoon series, as the one who initiated the first processor for Super Saiyajin of Goku. The game should also bring a multiplayer online mode.-------------------------------------------------------
