I sooooo need help with MHAM on nintendo DS

Im feeling unwell and am getting pretty frustrated with the game,
All i need help with is this,

Forest Competition 2
Forest Competition 3

They are impossible for me!
I have all the best equipment,
Always get silver!
And i soooooo need gold!
I really want to get on to the training but its impossible for me!
Please help!
I keep on getting the same time over and over again, 1 minute and 50 seconds!

I'm sorry, I don't have a DS - my niece has it for the DS though - she's only just got it but if she does everything I'll try and find out how she did it. Will be some time though.
