Sunday Cruise - all welcome

Hi, a couple of us are looking to arrange a cruise on sunday evening (27th Jan 08) at bout 7.30pm at the lighthouse, for PC users. Everyone is welcome, newbies to champions, just looking for a big meet. If you are able to join in could you just leave a quick note so we got a rough idea how many are coming.

most of us on here are having the same problem, server issue i think although rumours of a new patch being released is spreading, no1 know's no official statement has been issued but just tested again here in uk at 7.50am and still not working, so same with me, if it works im there, if not then i cant be!

Also, change the meeting place to somewhere quieter, as it will be impossible to connect to each other by the lighthouse, as there's always loads of people there (usually in "noob mode" trying to do donuts).

Is that 7:30 GMT? If so I'd love to come along - any car themes (all open tops/classics only etc?)

Only other easily understood location that springs to mind is the pit lane at Oahu but I'm fine with the lighthouse, I assume you mean the one at the west side of the Island with the parking lot.

nope there are no car restriction - but feel free to bring something thats a bit different.

also, let me kno if there is anywhere in particular u wanna meet, just post a place u think will be more convenient and easier and we will arrange it for there.

im affraid i havent been playing the game long enough to kno where u mean. can someone just either get a screenie or just decribe a bit more. but as long as everyone is happy with that its kool with me.

its gona be a kind of fun cruise, so probs will be going pretty fast, but its not racing or anything like that, just bring ure favorite car.

There is Portlock, and I'd suggest the beach as a meeting point.

Maserati Gransport - apparently according to the games creators it's the best Class D car, very forgiving handling, reasonably fast and possibly the best sounding.

TBH next thing up from that for me in handling terms is the Enzo.

I prefer Class C as a maximum for cruises, it gets a bit silly after that. I been on a couple of cruises in my Ascari but if there is lots of Class A's in the criuse too the pace picks up and I spend most of the time in trees... lol.

I don't think I can make it tonight now but I would have been in my light blue Maserati Spyder Cambiocorsa so maybe one of those to fly the forsa flag

Im having trouble with tdu 2nite, i cant seem to connect to people but i can see them, then when i do get connected tehy drop out 1 by 1 like flies so i dnt think this cruise is gonna happen specially as simon (Gibbfish) the organiser is having issues as well!

Only 3 people turned up that stayed around, including me (in the instance I was in anyway, no one else about). We left about 7:50, and cruised towards the race track for a while, then one of us had to go (sorry, cant remember your name).
Me and penusliski ventured off towards the track, and after doing several laps, we headed off to the lighthouse, where we kept getting disconnected from each other, then somehow being able to find one another again.

EDIT: You beat me, this is what I get for getting a pasty from the fridge....

Well i was there in a skyline r34 in white (scotty2809) i had the issues stated few posts before this, not locking on at all just kept losing everyone!

Will speak to Gibbfish and try and see if we can arrange this again for next sunday sime time etc if everyone is still available, but i will talk to him and ask him if we can go ahead with it again!

Hopefully i bigger turn out, max i saw was 8 of us including my self!

Sorry I couldn't get along tonight though funnily enough while out in the car earlier I saw a Noble and then lo and behold someone turned up to the cruise in one, you don't see them about much on TDU let alone in real life.

I was planning to get along and even checked out the meeting place while on TDU on saturday but life gets in the way sometimes lol

Excellent place to meet up though, I think I may hijack it for the Classics Cruise mentioned on another thread...just need to come up with a date

It seems a lot of people had trouble connecting last night, I know it took me about 10+ mins to get connected to anyone at all.

We did have a good mini cruise, if I can call it that, just wish I could've made it to the track. And I do apologise for having to leave early, as mentioned by previous poster real life gets in the way sometimes.

Hope to try the cruise again sometime,

upload a piccy twice with a different names, one for original, another to resize for a thumbnail. When posting go to 'insert hyperlink' than in line 'text to be displayed' enter PhotoBucket image code of a thumbnail and at URL line enter direct link of original pic.

On the thumbnail page, select the images you want to post, and click 'Generate HTML and IMG code' at the bottom. Choose the IMG code that has thumbnails (made by Photobucket), and viola :)

I didn't know it was there either, until I Googled it yesterday. They should make it more obvious...

I only chose the Noble as I bought it a few days ago, but hadn't driven it anywhere. Turned up to the cruise with 15 miles on it (because I was practising drifting around the track before the cruise). Left with about 140...
