like Release date, how far long is it etc...

there seems to be a delay with MOST games on PS3...when released on both formats??

it won't be out until later
i can wait, but if i really want to play it real bad
i can always get it for PC
until the PS3 version comes out

until then i got games to hold me over
on PS3 and PS2
i can always get my survival horror fix
i have a big collection

The only thing that bothers me is the fact that this delay possibly means that they'll just pick up the 360 version of the game and adapt it to the PS3, instead of developing a fresh version PS3 only... Normally this type of conversion results in a game with graphic glitches and a good collection of bugs, so let us hope not :noooo:

Actually I don't agree with that. Look at Oblivion which came out on the X360 and PC first, then after a delay, PS3. The PS3 version was the best one out of the box.

Also don't forget that AitD uses a true multi-platform engine, which is then built on top of for the platform-specific parts. As such it's not really fair to say that there is a native 'version' of this game :p

At the moment, developing games on the PS3 takes longer than on other formats. Please don't ask me why, I don't have enough technical knowledge to answer properly. It's something I want to understand, though, and hopefully I'll soon be able to give an articulate explanation to this ;)

I've found this when surfing on the net:

"Atari has told Eurogamer Germany that the PS3 version of Alone in the Dark is down for an autumn release.

Developer Eden Studios won't just be porting the Xbox 360 and PC versions. You can expect a specially adapted game, and they also say that additional content (i.e., extra episodes), could be made available for the PS3 version".

Many websites talk about exclusive chapters on the PS3 version, so... what's up with the PC and XBOX 360 owners? Months and months of delays and we won't have the possibility to reach up additional content... cry:

Nice to see the game will not be a straight port. (we all know how tough it is to go from 360 to PS3 due to massive architecture difference).
