I tend to go on the company website or fan forums of games that I am interested.
In all honesty for me once a game gets me interested I dont even need to see much more information. I just cout down the days until it comes out so I can buy it. :P

I search the informations on internet, so I search them in: Independent community forums, Games publishers' forums and Games websites (eurogamer, ign etc)
for the game I like I ever search information, because I have to know everything about them

Kotaku: Rumors; sarcasm; insults; the occasional honest, unforced note.
GameSpot: Used to be my favorite gaming site, grew up with it. Remember reading the all-new Shadows Of The Empire review on it. Now it's an example of steady decline.
IGN: Bad, overly self-indulgent reviews, but a decent source of information.
GameTrailers:I don't care what anyone says, I actually like Geoff Keighley. He's far from annoying, he defended the hell out of Mass Effect, and he asks decent questions.
As for the site: Just awesome. A little easy on the review scores, but the rapid updating and tons of vid content really make it my favorite gaming site by far.
you forgot wikipedia (user community) ;) I like to check the story, gameplay elements.. pretty much everything and metacritic scores before I get a game.
