I bought the PC-dvd version of MHAM and installed it on my laptop, (a Dell XPS M1530 which meets all of the requirements for the game, the demo ran perfectly) it seemed to install just fine(it took about an hour to install), but when I went to launch the game it said the folder was empty and there was no option to launch the game. Nothing came up during installation that would indicate that there was anything wrong. Anyone have any suggestions?

It sounds like you're trying to launch what used to be the demo rather than the full game. Have you tried going into the folder that the game installed to and launching MHAM directly from there?

I completely uninstalled the demo before I even started installing the full game, so the demo isn't even on my computer anymore, and it was the folder that the game installed to that I was trying to launch it from. I went to Programs-Atari-My horse and Me and it said that the folder was empty.

Here's the dxdiag report for my laptop, when I installed the full game nothing came up about the version of directx. Could that be the problem?

I don't think so, given the demo worked.

I've not tried vista so I don't know exactly how it works, but is there a 'my computer' type thing where you can browse the actual files? Try going to where you installed the game and double clicking the executable for MHAM directly, rather than launching it from programs.

I found the executable file and it worked. I posted the instructions to find the executable file under the thread titled incompatible with vista. The game works great with my laptop.

When installing games in vista if the game is fully vista compatible it will place the shortcut in the games explorer not on the desktop or in the start menu ,I have had a few new games do this
