I have had the same troubles that others seem to be having.... Installation (takes forever, but) seems to work, but there are no files installed to actually launch the game. Kind of makes you wonder what sort of testing Atari did, if they failed to check compatibility with Microsoft's flagship OS. Anyone know any workarounds? Atari seems to be silent on this one....

I can confirm MHAM does work with Vista, but you may have a problem with the way your computer is set up. Are you sure you meet the minimum requirements first of all?

I'm having the same problem. Also, my computer is only a few months old and I haven't configured any settings that I know of for installation/games.

Yes, I am sure that I meet system requirements. I checked this before I purchased, and again after installation didn't work. I am running:

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core @ 2.0 Ghz
Ram: 1024 MB Memory
Video Card: GeForce 6150LE
OS: Windows XP/Vista (up to date with the latest Service-Pack and hotfixes)
HDDSpace: 200+GB free hard disk space
DVD-Rom drive 8x

It's a new, very clean system with very little installed, no weird downloads, etc. I've not had problems installing any other s/w and have only installed mainstream app's from credible suppliers. Power switch is "on."

It does seem obvious that I am not the only one having this trouble.

I was having the same problem , but I found the executable file. For vista go to C:\Program Files\Atari\W!Games\My Horse and Me then click on the file that says reality-MCE (the one with shortcut as the type) and it will launch the game. You can also send the shortcut to the desktop by right clicking and choosing create shortcut.

Thanks, islanddream for the tip. Unfortunately, after the installation process, there isn't any executable file installed on my C drive. There is one file called "reality-MCE" in the Atari/WiGames/My Horse and Me folder, but it is an XML dcoument, not a shortcut.

Has Atari responded to anyone's inquiries? They've not responded to mine, other than the "It's your machine's fault" comment on this thread.

I am concerned that they've pulled up the drawbridge in terms of technical support, and have obviously not fully tested/debugged this program before release.

If you're referring to my reply can I just mention that I'm not Atari :) These forums aren't the place to get Atari support, they are for user to user information -I'm just a moderator of these forums and a player myself - I try and help out as much as I can but it's only voluntary :)

i have windows vista, and i've had to install the game like 3 times before i figured it out. the third time i installed it the advanced way. that was the same problem as i had, i couldn't find the file. i think when i installed it the advanced way i made an icon for it on the desktop, and saved it under the "games" folder.

When installing games in vista if the game is fully vista compatible it will place the shortcut in the games explorer not on the desktop or in the start menu ,I have had a few new games do this

If it's not appeared in the Games Explorer try:

Program Files>Atari>W!Games>My Horse And Me>system>Reality
