I am posting on the behalf of Alt-controls.com which is a site that is simply pushing for developers to consider that there are gamers out there that may prefer to play their games with controls to their own preference in console games rather than what has been set by the developer.

The site focuses on FPS or TPS as they include twin stick controls which many of our members cannot play as some of these games are usually developed with the standard default controls (character movement on the left thumbstick and aiming on the right thumbstick), whether that is because the gamer is left handed or simply has become accustomed to aiming with the left thumbstick rather than the right due to playing games in the past which mostly required precision movements with the left thumb. Games from Mario platformers to single stick FPS’s like Turok and Goldeneye meant that I was always much much better with precision movements on my left thumb rather than my right which means that any twin stick shooter that does not offer ‘Southpaw’ controls means that my aim is always off no matter how much auto aim is set. Some of our players prefer the ‘Legacy’ style of controls which is a slightly different take on Southpaw.

Anyway enough of the rambling. I am posting to ask whether your game is going to be offering customisable controls or different pre-set controls like Southpaw and Legacy to cater to gamers that prefer a different style of control, as I understand that there are some sections of your game that requires you to aim with a gun or other projectile weaponry and instruments.

I agree 100%. Southpaw and Legacy controls are a must.

That's interesting. I didn't even know that there is something like that. And I'm left-handed myself (but attuned to normal right-handed player controller/ mouse&keyboard mappings).

Of course, some left handed players do fine with right handed/default controls but there are some that find it difficult and likewise with right handed players who like myself are able to get more precision from my left thumb due to playing games for years with the humble d-pad to the analogue sticks of today. I'm probably in the minority but I think thats there are quite a few players like myself that would like controls to be customisable to the extent like they are on the PC and I usually don't by games that to not cater to those needs which is a lost sale to the developer but there are quite a few of us out there that will cost the developer some sales as I'm not the only one that does this. Don't get me wrong, I could play the game that did not allow me to customise but soon as the pressure is on my aiming is not as good as it should be, especially if I was playing online which a lot of console games seem to offer as standard these days.
