Episode 1 - Sequence 3 Fire Escape - May somehow cause spoilers

OK, so i've not long had the game - I'm now at sequence 3 Fire escape and i cannot see any plausible way out of my situation - one way is blocked with wood and fire the other with a body and fire and the other a door which doesn't open - so HOW do I get out of this?

P.S Annoyed that I can't get my Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2 to work, are you forced to use the 360 controller or the keyboard?

Ah, I've figured it out - shoot the door handle - However makes me wonder how you complete this section if you've already wasted your clip - Strikes me as the answer is you can't

I think it's keyboard+mouse unless you have a 10 button controller.
