got the xbox 360 version, great game but there's one unacceptable flaw: the hawful screen tearing. The image gets chopped badly when you look around, expecially when there's some special effect like fire or electricity, probably the worst case of tearing I've ever witnessed. It's a shame, it's ruining my overall experience and there's no excuses for it:nono:for 60 bucks I pretend a polished, smooth game...the only possible solution is a patch, I'd like to know if the devs are aware of our problems and willing to work a little more on the game. Any technical advice is welcomed aswell, currently I'm playing the game on an lcd monitor, the console's resolution is set at 1280x720, got rid of many screen tearing problems with this resolution but this game seems to be an exception.
Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help me

This is a common problem on PC games, but I don't have much x360 experience. It's caused by a mis-match between the frame buffer output and the refresh of the monitor. On the PC you can stop it by enabling V-sync - is there any similar option for the x360?

The 360 and the PC are basically using the same engine so it's more than possible for them to have a smilier graphics hitch. I myself haven't had this one although I have been stuck in places because the character got stuck

some games on the 360, like bioshock, have a v-sync option, basically it lets you choose between 30 fps without tearing and 60 fps with tearing, alone in the dark has only a brightness adjustment in the display menu:noooo:

tried on a standard tv with different kinds of cables but the problem is the same, it's a technical issue of the game itself, wonder how such flaws pass testing

Its common on PC games to have a V-Sync on or off option. Having it on will eliminate the tearing and without it the framerate will (hopefully!) be higher and more consistant, depending on resolutions and graphics cards. The 360 has no such option and many games have 'tearing' in order to keep the speed up.......:respect:

many games on the 360 have better graphics than alone in the dark but move much faster and without problems even when there's a lot of action and effects on the screen, in AITD you can see horrible tearing even when you're simply walking around in small rooms without enemies or other characters, never seen something like this on the 360 before...anyway I've already exchanged the game with another one, I'll consider rebuying it if they solve the problem somehow
