DVD-ROM drive: 4x speed or faster (read double layer)

An internet connection is required to:
-Install the game
-Launch the game for the first time
-Revoke the license when uninstalling the game

The game is enhanced for:
-Multi-core
-32 bits or 64 bits
-DirectX 9.0c

I recently checked the games for windows site and it states 7600GS as the minimum requirement and 7800GTX as the recomended. Here's the link : http://www.gamesforwindows.com/en-US/Games/Pages/aloneinthedark.aspx So are these the real requirement for the game?

The game is running with a 7800gt... but the game is not optimised :(

I've 20fps in 1280x1024, average 26 in 1024x768, better but... it's not my native resolution of my LCD.

I try to find a solution to run the game Windowed but i found nothing... i need a patch to active the windowed mode please :noooo:

And other: do you know if the game can run into a laptop with a Nvidia GeFrorce 7150M??

Hi guys, just a heads up that due to personnel changes at Atari I've not been able to get an improved answer about the system requirements yet. We'll keep trying.

It's not about being hard...it's about being annoying and restrictive... Besides the DVD version contains additional protection for the disc itself... It's more a question of principles, than a real issue.

Does this game really require a 7800 to run the game?? Also I have heard that it is possible to run this game on a 7600gs card with every thing on low and at a 15-20 frame rate per second. So is this true??

The 7600GS is functionally the same as the 7800, it's just a lot slower so while it might run, it won't run at a framerate the testers considered enjoyable.

Same thing - functionally it'll run, but that card is as slow as the 7600GS so it won't be very fun.

Thank you again for replying. But it would be really helpful if you guys can release a patch which will enable the game to run at decent frame rates on low-end cards like 7600GS( Atleast on LOW SETTINGS ).

Just to inform you guys, that this game works pretty well on a 256Mb Nvidia Geforce 7600GS card. I am in Episode 4 and uptil now I didn't find any framerate issues nor any graphical errors.

I have a very good gaming machine: my PC has intel 2.5 Ghx quad cpu, 4 Gb rm, nvidia GT2, monitor samsung 24" 1920 * 1200

When I start AITD the screen became black thei I receive a mesage, that the game do not work.

Can you help me ?

rolleyesaI just bought this game and I've got a 256mb Nvidia 7300gt graphics card and a amd 3000xp 64bit processor and it works quite happily.
