Source file is corrupt!!!!

Just finished downloading the game from the Atari store and ive had this error message

and ive got an error message saying the following

i thought i was the only one , here is how i fixed it.
run the original .exe install file you downloaded when it says cant find somefile at the end, go in to the directory it is talking about user/appdata or whatever it is saying and open the exact directory and then run setup .exe
but dont close the original error message from the first install or it will erase the files from the temp directory.

so i know this sounds confusing but first run original .exe , then when you get error dont close the error box go to my computer or explore and open up the directory that it cant find the file in and run setup.exe and when it is completely done then close the original error message.
this is a bunch of bull for us to put up with. it says cant find EAsetup.exe
sounds like ea or someone tried to this direct download on purpose.
but my fix works and the game is googd. please let me know if this fixes your problem

with all due respect did you actully read the error message and where the green bar was located? its saying the file is corrupted and has nothing to do with the EAsetup.exe file


EDIT: also if i click ignore it looks like the other 3+ files are Corrupted as well

So I pre-ordered the game with the promise of an early download.....this didn't happen.....activation code at midnight 00.01......more like 00.15....with the link to download the game.....hang on I thought this was download before midnight then I could "Be the first to play at Midnight".....download time for an 4Mb line 4 hours.....4 hours would of been nice but no it trickled down reaching a maximum of nearly 180kb/s......15 hours later and the game is good to go:laugh:

you figure they would have made sure the game actually installs before putting it up. thats just bad business. hope fully everyone can figure it out that downloaded it. i was not going to let 15 hours of downloading end up with nothing, i would have been pissed.

also i did try that and i got an error message telling me that the folder 'uninstall' wasnt there

so i am getting a corrupt file

another think i found odd is that the first download i got the overall file size was just over 2gb, but now im downloading again and the downloader is telling it its 7.59gb

no shat james you would figure the game is more than 2.5 gigs. i guess thats not your fault tho, my game did not even install right , i had to make a workaround. i am not mad about that tho , i am mad that atari or endi games cant seem to compress a game to less that 7.8 gigs, i mean it took forever to download!!

kalniel this should be added to the PC technical sticky. This EAsetup.exe is a problem for all the download versions. The setup file it should be looking for is just setup.exe.

This work around works though.

Yes it took a long time to download now waiting for the install to finish. It looks good from what I have read so far will post about it later. ;)
