I played this game on my pc and I've been suffering from random pauses when I'm playing. My PC specs are -
P4 3.0Ghz
Geforce 8800GT 512megs
1Gb ram
This does meet minimum requirements, right?
Please help me.....

I really think it's you RAM.
Both GPU and CPU are fast enough, but 1 GIG is a bit low for such a huge game.

Delete radial.cdb as explained here: http://forums.eu.atari.com/showpost.php?p=1769668&postcount=4
If that doesn't fix it try different drivers for your graphics card. Though possibly you can't get rid of the stuttering entirely...there seems to be some sort of problem with TDU and geforce 8 series...

i disagree with the ram advice. 1 gig is enough. If I Alt-Tab away from TDU I see less than 600mb being used in the Task Manager window. You might get random stuttering in the city with 1 gig (like I used to on an older pc) but TDU will run on your system. As long as your cpu and gpu are good (and they both exceed system requirements) then you should be okay. :salut2:
edit - erm, can I delete my post? ah, rats. yeah, it's your ram. you need some more. Fancy some 256mb DDR400 memory sticks? I've got four lying around on the bottom of my pc case.

What operating system are you running? If Vista, you will want more ram - at least 1.25GB but if you're going to upgrade you might as well go up to 2gb.
Also check what apps are running in the background. Antivirus software can be a resource hog sometimes, especially if it's scanning while you're playing. Use a program such as FSAutoStart or Auto TaskKiller to automatically close background apps when you start your game, then restart the apps once you're done playing (you'll need to specify whic apps to automatically close once). I actually made the latter program mentioned here, but I concede it's not quite as powerful as FS Autostart, which was written for Flight Sim users since FS is such a huge game, but it works with other games too).
Your GFX card is great, and your CPU should be good enough as long as other processes aren't making substancial use of it while you're playing.
