TDU and VISTA

Hi,

I just installed Vista Ultimate. I also have XP. I had was playing this game fine on XP before but now that i got vista i decided to install that on this machine too.

However, everytime i go to lauch TDU. I get this error, i cant remember all of it but i know it has this as a fault name or something StackHash_e52f.

I dont know mcuh about the problem. Ive searched google and couldnt really come up with a solution. Apparently its the V.card. And some people are saying its not just with this game. Actually, ive tried a few other games and none seem to work. They all get this error.

I have the latest driver for the Nvidia 8800GT v.card. Is there something i should know. Ive reinstalled the game several times. So i know its nothing due to installation.

Can you guys please get back to me? Im dying to play that game with DX10. Im not sure if it'll make a diff or not. But worth a try.

Vista will use DirectX9 with TDU anyway rolleyesa
It will be the same results (about quality) as under XP. It mainly depends on drivers and system efficiency (at home i have a bit more fps with XP)

DirectX10 doesn't bring anything to non DX10 games...


And about your problem, your description looks like very confused... it would be nice you give much more details about your config, and error messages you get.

Did the gpu work with xp or did you buy it when going to vista it could be lack of power or wrong drivers or a simple directx update. But a stackhash error sounds more like a ram problem to me anyway maby some one else can be more specific.
