If their released on the 5th, why does the atari GTR Evolution page list the release as 29th august?

There have been a couple of last minute delays. Gameplay, Game, Amazon etc are advertising the 5th, Steam is advertising the eletronic distro as the 1st.

I'll wait for the boxed release.
Impressive video showing the GT-R Evo Nordschleife+F1 Circuit versus the real thing when Hans-Joachim Stuck thrashed his BMW M3 GTR round it in 2004. Note the accuracy in rumble strips, camber and even the trees!

That's awesome mate, nice bit of video trickery there. Simbin seem to have the Ring well sorted!
Nice FPS too, wonder what specs and detail level the poster of video was running with.
UPDATE:
There's a good, balanced and unbiased review here

As it's now been out on Steam for over a week shame on the likes of Eurogamer for not giving this any coverage whatsoever. Too busy sucking up to EA and furthering their PS3 fanboyism quest among other things it seems.

I LOVE this game so much! :D
Yup me too!
I've almost got it controllable on a pad as well :p The feel of the cars is excellent, if a little floaty!
Does anyone know how to enable force feedback on the X360 pad? It never seems to do anything even turning it on in the game options.

Have you tried using the controller drivers plus? The Microsoft ones are a bit naff tbh

Ah and I thought you would be a G25 jockey :)
Guess it must be an API thing then and that controller just doesn't want to play nice.
Still happy to race with my G25... Although it seems that controller-racers can keep up with the speed of wheel drivers (some are even faster)
