My daughter and I were wondering if this will be equestrian ride unlimited or just another childish " I want my own pony " game.
Exclusive Palomino anyone.:hin:

I'm not sure what you mean by equestrian ride unlimited? I would expect this to be quite similar to the popular first game, only more and better!

Hi kalniel.
We never played the first game, I have searched and we cant seem to find it on x box. Was it only available on PC and nintendo ?.
The equestrian ride unlimited is a play on the Test drive unlimited name, for me the best game ever made. We have looked at the screens and description for this game and it says riding sim and that it puts you right in the saddle, but we cant find any first person POV screens. Basiclly we were wondering if we were getting a " Hardcore " riding sim that did give you the equestrian lifestyle in the same kind of vain as Tdu, with tons of officially licensed kit to buy/unlock and competing over live in comps ie three day eventing. Or is it aimed at a much younger demographic. Its just my daughter and myself are more serious about our gaming.
Thank you.

Oh, I have found some first person POV screens. Wow that dose look good. Now you have got my attention, but its only saying Pc, Wii and DS. Will it be available on 360 in first person.:)

To answer the first question I think it's a bit of both - there is a ton of licensed kit to unlock and there is a lot of competing, but there's lots of things for younger people to enjoy as well (my niece loved the grooming aspect of the first game).

It is advertised as being the most realistic horse simulation and complete equestrian experience so I think you will be happy.

But on to the most important question.. I don't know for certain, but I'm 90% sure it will be released on the X360 this time around and have the first person viewpoint.

I'll try and find out some more information and put it up on the forums.

Thanks for the response kalniel. 10sur10
If you could keep us up to date, we will be extremely grateful as we are starting to get quite excited about this title now. At last a game for us to play together as no matter how I try I cant get her into Tdu.:atari:

No problem. I've put up a sticky with the information I could find, if I get more I'll try and add it to that thread.

Is it just me, or do the graphics look worse this time around? From the screenshots, the horses look blockier as well as the people. At least the reigns aren't red this time.

Yeah, the graphics look a little worse, but I played the demo and though it doesn't look as great as My Horse and Me orginal, it still looks good. The addition of cross-country and dressage should make up for it.
Two questions:
Is there a reply option? I noticed there was none in the demo and I really enjoyed replaying my course and snapping pictures in the first My Horse and Me title.
What is the USA release date for the game?

Always make sure to compare like for like though - which screenshots have you seen so far?

These look ok to me, though they might not be the finished game too.

Yeah, from the demo the graphics look OK, but not amazing. One thing that really, really irks me is how far down the noseband is on the horse's nose. It should be ALOT higher, and it's going to bug me to no end. If anybody else has noticed the face looks too short, it isn't - the noseband just needs to be raised, and it would look a thousand times better.

The scenery is awesome, as always, and the people look pretty good. The bystanders "cheering" on the sideline are awful, and even worse than last time. Heh. The controls for moving the girl around kinda suck.

Okay, This is really bugging me xD
Why the old man does she have high heels?! This isn't barbie.
It looks so stupid as it can be!
Really, I like Mham 1 better.
The graphics are awful, sry to say.
dark:
And everything is to big for the horse, it doesn't even look like a horse, more like a 130 cm tall pony with a grown up rider.
Cmon, this is not my horse and me at all!
Why not use the old graphichs? The rider looked atleast good in the first one.
Still, getting it for christmas, hope it will be nottodisappointing.
And, the eyes of the horse is weird too.
The people is a bit weird too. But not bad.
The horse is bad skinned and animated.

Mhh im not really sure about the second MHAM, It looks a bit rushed. The first one had really nice detailed graphics and it was obvious they spent a lot of effort on it. Here the tack, horses, people, well basically the most "dynamic" objects look rushed. As if they wanted to release it before christmas. Not sure if I'm going to get this game. I'll try the demo first and see if it changes my opinion abit. I guess the addition of dressage and cross country is a good thing, but the bad looks (from screenshots) of the horses' anatomy and the details on the riders are going to make a lot of people say "no thanks the first version is better im not going to buy this."

sour:I have finally tried the mham 2 demo and surprise surprise another girlie
"i wanna pony" game. Surely in this day and age someone can come up with a serious equestrian simulation for serious gamers,i mean when you see the quality
of some of the driving, football and golf games it makes you wonder,is it because the majority of game developers are male ,and they are only interested
in putting work into games they are interested in. They have obviously went down the "lets make as much cash as we can road" . Some of us are not interested in what colour of t-shirt the character is wearing or if she gets a boyfriend. I would love to here from anyone of like mind who wants to push for a real equestrian simulation, they nearly got it right in the first mham but fell at the final hurdle(forgive the pun)when making mham2.Equestrian gamers want to be taken seriously.
Sorry for the rant but i'm very annoyed, please get in touch if you agree with me
thanks:salut2:

I think same way as baudron.
This serie had a potential to become good riding game for more mature/serious gamers. It was so sad when I realised this game had taken a step towards casual "pony games" with pink ponies and ribbons.. (it's not there yet..)

One thing that bugs me the most is: Doesn't the horse ever chance lead when cantering? There is even dressage and I haven't seen in any video/demo horse changing leads... It did that in first MhaM. Look screenshots from first game and compare them to second one, what happened? I understand that game has much more to do now, and younger players will easily forgive those but it's so sad that it went to kids game again.. I think horses movements were better in first one, they looked better overall..

Few questions: Is there 1person view option in wii version? (It was too easy in thirdperson view and was more realistic)
Is there only 3 speeds? (First mham had several for each walk,trot,canter.. which I found very good)

I played the demo of the second one and you could only trot, walk and gallop ( + you can stand stil xD)
I could not galop fast or slow, it was just galopping xD
