View Full Version : Corrupt download of The Witcher EEE

I've bought and downloaded The Withcer Enhanced Edition from http://www.atari-store.co.uk/pc-games/buy-download-The_Witcher_Enhanced_Edition.html

The DLM downloaded the installer files, but when I tried to launch the installer, I get a message saying:

"The source file is corrupted."

When I try to download the game again from the atari store, I get another copy of the DLM.exe. When I run this, I get a message saying that the DLM for this game is already installed, so I'm unable to download the game again.

Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround?

I've also sent a message to uk.support.download-store@atari.com a few days ago, but so far, there has been no response, not even a receipt or a trouble ticket number.

Sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with the service.

The first port of call I would recommend to you is to try phoning Atari's helpline, they might not be able to do much but at least they can point you in the right direction. Their number is 0870 850 1958.

Secondly I'm sure Atari UK Downloads go through metaboli/gamesplanet so you could try emailing serviceclient@gamesplanet.co.uk with the email and order number you used as this email account seems to respond within anything from 1hour - 48 hours depending on how busy the release schedule happens to be.

You could also see if any unofficial help can be given on the Official The Witcher forums: http://www.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php (though the team themselves are usually pretty active also)

No reply so far from serviceclient@gamesplanet.co.uk or uk.support.download-store@atari.com. :/

I'll try calling the helpline tomorrow, and see if they are helpful.

Bank holiday today so most places are closed. Normal running should resume tomorrow.

Got a reply yesterday from "Metaboli - Atari support".

Turns out Metaboli does not have software compatible with the 64 bit versions of XP or Vista, so I was offered a refund. I've now bought the boxed version instead.

Good to know, thanks for keeping us informed though the response time isn't exactly brilliant on their part.
