Fm2 style Photomode?

will there be a FM2 style photomode in Race PRO? where you can watch your online saved replays and take photos that get sent off to the official website where you can download them to your computer. That would be a real boost for writing reports and other material for Online championships.

I've seen the replay editor known as the race monitor I think but not sure about a photomode. Hopefully!

A photomode would have been a very nice addition but i dont think we should have to rely on game develeopers to all design a photomode for games they release.What ms should have done was found a way you can take photo's when they created the NXE

Thats impossible, you cant write something for a dashboard that can then implement itself into every game.

FM2's Photomode is a bit restrictive is it not in that it's not free form like PGR3/4 which I prefer as sometimes it's good to get pics from a far perspective and other cars rather than just yours, or even just the environment!

And Hell, debug consoles have this screen capture facility (I think) and believe it or not Sony are aiming to provide it as a feature of a future firmware upgrade for the PS3, capture any image straight to HDD and then transfer to USB or whatever and copy to your PC, simple. I thought the way GT4 did it was the future, unfortunately Microsoft saw differently.

Maybe it's just me but I also wish all games had a Photomode. lol

Yes a screen capture from the dashboard would be a great addition for games,lets just hope game develops start putting"GAME PAUSED" into one of the lower corners so that if you do transfer it to computer then you can shave that section off

Taking a screen shot is not the same as photo mode at all really. It is more akin to using a digital camera to take a shot of your screen.

Even if you have a screenshot capture functionality, but no photo mode, that means you won't be able to get the right angle you want for the shot. You also won't be able to do all the different camera effects. In addition, there will be HUD elements possibly clogging the display.

True, no aperture, focal length, shutter speed, focus etc. Good point.

Then again what if it was a HQ version the console grabbed after you had done all the setup in the game anyway rather than what we seem to have (on the 360 anyway), where it's heavily compressed due to having to be uploaded and stored on a server for viewing.

A la Halo 3. That is a very good system since it actually produces an image in much higher resolution (well over 1080p). But that relies on Halo 3's top-notch photo/film engine.

You can in Race 07 etc. but flipping cars has not been seen nor confirmed (to my knowledge) yet, in Race Pro.

Yes you can flip cars, look thru some of the videos I think with the mini and you will see it flip :)

Thanks, I've just seen it. Around one of the street courses. I think I saw that video at some point and thought it was Race 07, for some reason.
