Yeah, they look great man
Sebastien Loeb, world champion WRC 2008 (for the fifth consecutive time). Yvan Muller, world champion WTCC 2008. Sebastien Ogier, world champion WRC Junior 2008. Romain Dumas, champion ALMS LMP2 2008. Alexandre Prémat, champion LMS LMP1 2008. Sebastien Bourdais in F1, with certainly mitigated results, but in F1 nevertheless… The automobile sport, especially in the disciplines of TRUSTED, succeeded well overall with the French this year. For as much, the number of automobile simulations on our consoles is in freefall. Worse, RACE Pro, most promising game on the horizon, had to be pushed back at 2009, February 13 to be exact. A bad news compensated by a small presentation of the play last week, where we finally could take the animal in hand long enough to forge a first opinion on this very first appearance of SimBin on consoles. Impressions.
If our preceding meeting with RACE Pro at the Ranges Convention of Leipzig last August was balanced by some questions left outstanding (due to lack of time), this new interview finally allowed us to ask some questions, starting with how career mode works. This one will rest on a system of contracts, to honour to resolve funds (appropriations) as well as cars that one will be able to then use in the championship mode. Small disappointment, this last will not take again all the rules of the WTCC (World Touring Because Championship, where two races are carried out per weekend). It should be said that RACE Pro does not rest solely on this licence (which is nevertheless the starting point of the series), since the play of SimBin thus includes/understands in a whole about fifteen different disciplines with WTCC (season 2008, or fermented 1987, even in Extreme mode with models re-examined by the developer), but also of the Formula BMW, F3000 or Mini Cooper Challenge. Radical and other Caterham will also come to join the festival, just like WP with image of BMW m3 GTR, the Corvette C 6R, Spyker C8, Sunred SR21 as well as Audi R8, Gumpert Apollo and Koenigsegg CCX and CCXR. 48 models are on the whole represented in RACE Pro for 350 skins approximately. Side circuits, SimBin begin again, there still, part of the contents of RACE with a selection of 13 circuits among which Monza and Valence, but also Laguna Seca and Road America, without speaking about Oporto, Pau and Macao, three destinations seldom suggested concerned video. They however offer a true challenge side piloting while obliging to flirter with the rails of safety.
Let us speak precisely about this piloting on which SimBin put so much. Flexible d' arcade with simulation thanks to several assistances to be activated (partially, fully, or at all), it seems on paper open to all types of players, of the most tested neophytes to. If the catch in hand is indeed spontaneous in arcade, the things become complicated a little with all these decontaminated parapets (ABS, control of traction and stability), and not inevitably in the good sense. The brakes thus cruelly missed the corrosive one, and especially, the nose gear wheels were not blocked with high and average speed, even while being held upright on the pedal (and whereas l' ABS was supposed completely decontaminated being), except in the last meters of our approach. A valid phenomenon as well at the wheel qu' with the lever, while the latter seemed to moderate another small preoccupation with a catch in hand (especially felt with the wheel thus): sursensibility of l' accelerator. C' is quite simple, to take the orders of Koenigsegg CCXR (a ball of nerves, certainly) raised of the martyrdom so much the latter was untameable while climbing in the turns, and this, even for a player accustomed to GTR and company. Surprisingly, certain vehicles however famous for their nervousness and their piloting with the finger and l' eye as Caterham seemed also unrecognizable. For as much, in spite of these problems - that l' one hopes for absent from final version of course -, RACE Pro made proof d' a certain potential as regards simulation by suggesting realistic movements of case and good feelings once various comparable elements. Better, it is really posed as an ambassador of automobile simulation PC on consoles with its impressive pedigree, its physical engine d' exception (but obviously under-exploited here) and its adjustments per tens including/understanding the pressure of the tires and the temperature of the latter according to three points, the set, the height of the frame, the pinching of the wheels, l' slope of the ailerons, l' staging of the box, the differential and j' on the way, the whole being each time associated with some comments to switch us in our choices. It is hoped in any case that this exhaustiveness will not prove to be a smoke screen, and that the play of SimBin will be able to really show also realistic qu' he claims it, which n' was not completely the case in the version proposed at the time of this presentation. Once again, the fingers are crossed.
Visually, as s' could; there to wait, RACE Pro should not worry the guns of the kind, Race Driver: GRID and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue at the head. It makes despite everything proof d' a figure very correct, supported by a frame spleen inébranlable in the version presented and especially by sights cockpits always also succeeded at SimBin and jouissives. It's a pity that the physical damage s' announce limited enough (but with effects on piloting) and that the weather n' will not evolve/move during the races - one will be able despite everything to roll in rainy weather. In addition to the sights cockpits, the sound part of great quality promises an excellent immersion, a typical good point of the productions of the Swedish developer. After some races, l' I.A. seemed also very correct, with d' errors; appreciation at our competitors or of the rather muscular goings beyond which form integral part of the tests of WP. Remain to see whether it will be shown also insistent with the single-seaters, less resistant. Lastly, on its side, the multi will include/understand, him, of the races in line jusqu' to 12 via Xbox Live, but also a mode in hot-seat which is supposed to fill l' d' absence; splitté screen. But to have an outline of this aspect, d' must now be had patience; here the exit of the play, pushed back at next February 13 on our premises on Xbox 360 only. While waiting, here some additional images of the animal, thus qu' new putting video still and an always its realism ahead. Let us hope for only qu' it is right, and that the preoccupations with caused adjustments disappear quickly.
That's a babelfish translation of the whole article. Obviously, the text does not make sense in English, so a small amount of constructive guessing should be used. I'm not going to edit and convert it into english, as that would probably lose some of the point of the article. Now, for me to read it myself.
Love how they got the glowing exhausts just like the real deal :)

what i read in the Preview: Even with the ABS turned off, they could still Fully press LT and the tyres woudn't jam. CCXR was too tail happy even old GTR players had trouble controlling the car with controller or steering wheel and it was hard with the wheel. They had the feeling the engine physics were a bit dumbed down compared to the previous PC games.
Framerate was stable at all times. Cockpit view was spot on and you really get the sensation of speed unlike forza. In the setup menu you have tips about what kind of changes your making.

Yeah! That ABS-off sounds just like how it was on Race 07
I accidentally went in a race room that was no assists, and at frist the car struggled, but after 7 laps I got 1 sec off my pb - then realised ABS was off....I was like wow....my tires didnt jam up at all
Not like Forza, compared to forza, its like forza is over-reacting

Well the CCXR should be a bit of a beast. 1018 bhp compared to 808 bhp of the CCX.
The only other game with the CCXR is GRID, right? Not that it's very realistic but I remember the CCXR being very difficult to control, back often slides out.

Last week I ran the weekly HLC on forza, it was a stock Koenigsegg CC8S (800hp) on a test track - for fun I ran it no aids also an it was so hard - but so much fun lol

These should be the correct numbers.
CC8S - 655 bhp - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koenigsegg_CC8S http://www.diseno-art.com/encyclopedia/vehicles/road/cars/Koenigsegg_CC8S.html
CCX - 806 bhp - http://www.koenigsegg.com/cars_1.html
CCXR - 1018 bhp - http://www.koenigsegg.com/cars_2.html
Given all the extra power of the CCXR with everything else remaining the same, it would make sense to me that it be extremely difficult to handle. Especially since the weaker Koenigsegg's are already quite unwieldy. Surely those GTR players could compare on a car they are more familiar with?

On the Science Channel, there is a program coming on that will feature the Koenigsegg.
The program is called Megaworld. It's been shown before, but it's worth watching again.

Understandable. Probably just got a bit mixed up with the CC8S in FM2 and the CCX in PGR4.
No lynching need take place. tonguegre

the koenisegg CCGT in forza 2 was managable with all upgrades as long as you had good thorttle control and were very careful in the corners. and i run full rear downforce with the car to try and get as much traction out of a slow corner s i could without spinning the rears too much.

The actual screen shot's i have seen for Race pro have all looked really good.I have no idea why certain people dont like them,it was like back when people(or myself i should say)used to play Forza 2 and said the graphics were'nt upto much.
Do most people only like shiny car's or something in video games?.

i think the cars in forza 2 are too shiny

Shiny? No....
I do think there is an over-exxagurated amount of light on some tracks...Sebring for example
Sebring would have been an awesome US addition to race pro
i think the cars in forza 2 are too shinyAgreed, look at the Focus ST for a good example of this, it looks like shiny dodgy wrapping paper is covering it.

agree 110% about sebring. you cant really take any good pictures there either because there's no real shadows on the track.

I did now!... lol... tonguegre
but is it me or is there something that still doesn't look right with the pics ??.. over saturated.. wierd reflections... too bright when raining... maybe the editor changes the pics... i even saw cars that looked like they were floating.. and others looked like they were sunk into the road by an inch or more...
I guess everything out there in pics is still beta... or even pre-beta... so we will have to wait and see....
I am trying to be as patient as possible....
I have had this game pre-ordered for the 360 since the first day I was able to put my name down... heck, the kid at the store didn't even know that the game existed... but they do now!.... specialdri
