Hi,

I just purchased the digital download of "The Witcher - Enhanced Edition".

I followed the instructions, downloaded the game completey with the tool you linked in your email (below).

Unfortunately, once the download was complete and I tried to install the game I got a message stating "Source file is corrupted".

I conducted research on the internet and eventually found out that this is caused by the fact that your download tool Metaboli is not compatible with Vista 64-Bit.

I must say I am absolutely furious right now. Nowhere on the website of your store or on the download page for the game was this information passed on to me. The fact that I had to dig around on the internet to find out about this is absolutely shocking!

I find it apalling that I just paid 40 Euros to you (which you, ATARI, gladly took) and now I can't even download or install the game!

And to make it all worse, according to the internet sources this problem exists since months yet you still do not inform or warn your customers about this! Is this some sort of scam?

I demand an explanation and an immediate refund of my money or an immediate resolution of this problem and an alternative way to download this game!

I already emailed the ATARI download support and Metaboli support and guess what, no answer!

To top it all the Metaboli website doesn't seem to exist anymore, I guess they ran out of business?

I am waiting!

Well that is just wonderful /sarc

I am apparently in the same boat, as my computer has now been cranking away for 24 hours straight trying to download the game (a whopping 28% or 2.25GB downloaded so far) and at this rate it will be next year before it finishes the download.

And if your post is correct I can look forward to the file then being corrupted and unusable, that’s a lot of time and money wasted for nothing. So it sounds like this is an issue that Atari should want to get a handle on immediately if not sooner.

I don’t suppose that you would have the references to Metaboli not being compatible with vista would you?

At any rate this is not a promising situation for purchasing an online game, or paying the extra for extended download capability that I paid for! Although I am not quite as upset as you appear to be, that might change if once I finish the download I find that it too is corrupted.

Particularly since I took enough interest that I also bought the US Domain name http://thewitcher.us/ to start a US forum on The Witcher and i am sure Atari does not want the 1st posts there to be about corrupted downloads and enormous amounts of time difficulty and costs in just obtaining the software.

It is already bad enough that I must have the original disk in the drive each time I use the boxed set I also bought.
