Hi guys, been eagerly anticipating this game for what feels like years like most of you I'm sure! Info seems to be pretty sparse as to what features are going to be available in the game but does anyone know if data logging will be included??

Forza 2 lacked some sort of data logging for car set-ups and I hope Race Pro has it especially as setting up the car will be much more important with no spec upgrades plus I enjoy it ;)

Has been no mentioning what so ever about data logging I'm afraid. I would like to see a fully implemented telemtry logging, but I think that's hoping a bit much.

oh well I suppose it will be a case of waiting (some more) and seeing!

PC Notepad for all my data logging and setups ;)

I actually doubt it unfortunately - I think they even dropped it for Race07 on the PC, it's very data intensive and they'd probably rather put the processing power to use in the driving physics.

hhmmm...all I have is a paper notepad, will that do?

It would've been cool if the game could integrate with a PC that had MoTeC installed to analyze the telemetry. Even if it had the option to export would've done the trick mdr1

I'm not talking Motec depth, I realise how much of a strain that would be but maybe a simplified version just as a graphical representation of the common performance parameters (speed, revs, torque.....). This can certainly be achieved, if it was in the old console F1 games it should be possible now!

The old console games didn't simulate the driving physics anything like as much as Race Pro does! :)

lol...I know that!! But they also didn't have the processing power of the 360. Again like I said it would be only the common parameters nothing as in depth as what Motec offer.

I guess it's memory rather than processing power that'd be the issue.

360 has, IIRC, 512mb shared between graphics and the program and, in most cases, you're not supposed to rely on there being a HD [I bet some games do, Grid for example streams their replay stuff to it]

Ok there's no large operating system like windows running, so that's more memory than it initially sounds compared with 2gb and higher PCs, so clearly memory is probably the limiting factor in the power of the 360 compared with even a PC that only had the equivalent graphics and processor power.

I think I read somewhere [Epic games springs to mind] that making the 360 512mb rather than 256mb cost a billion dollars, it would have cost a couple more to manuf all the 360s with 1gb ram instead. TBH I would have paid the extra, but obviously they sell them at a loss...
