You may have seen it in the YouTube video before.
Here it is again in its full hardcore glory...
Every line is accompanied with a detailed description of the highlighted setting (too many screens to show here).

i like how the downforce is measured in clicks too ;D
Hmmmm. I don't see any mention of fuel there.

There better be fuel if not then this isnt a propper sim, i would think they would have it, GTR and Race 07 had it, i kept on forgetting in Race 07 and 2 laps before the end of WTCC season i ran out.
Yes, well seeing as fuel is consumed there'd better be some to start with ;)
Maybe fuel just is in a previous menu or only shows up when in sim-mode and fuel use is on or something like that.

I can't see the fuel being so indepth where you can select what amount you want to put in for a certain amount of laps etc.It will probably be like the rest of the racer's out there where by you only fill up once it starts running down from a full tank.
Yes it's a sim and every detail count's but fuel is'nt going to be a huge let down if it's done the way the rest of the racer's out there are done.

Oh I beg to differ, this essentially means that when hot lapping for instance you'd have to go around burning fuel before setting the fastest laps, same thing if qualifying is implemented. I really can't see Simbin overlooking the fuel setting, it's been in every other game they've made. That would be, if not huge, at least a let down for me.

Yes i can understand why it is very important and i would really like to see it in the game myself, but as i said,if it's not then it still wont stop me from enjoying every second of the game.

Well I guess I'd have to agree on that specialdri

The reason that I would be unhappy with no fuel options is that Race 07 has them. It's quite an intrinsic part of racing. In Race 07 you can set the amount of fuel that you put in the car, so you can have a really light car at the end, to try and combat your worn down tyres.
Not a deal-breaker, but it would be very disappointing, as in championship races would add some extra strategy to proceedings, like Real Life.

As i said ealier champ,i too would really love to have a proper fuel system in place. My reason's being it could mean all the difference when doing time trials etc which is probably what i will mostly be taking part as i explained in a previous thread.
What i should have done was word my opinion better on this fuel topic, yes we really want to see a proper fuel system in place and it would be a shame if it was'nt .But then what i should have said is that WE will all still enjoy this game so so much even should the fuel system not make it into the game.
No racing title i have come across on console has ever been as indepth as what Race PRO is about to give us,and no matter if the fuel system is left out of this game too,it's still going to blow away anything ever played on console before on just the thing's actually we do know about the game,so far.
What it COULD be is in a part of the game where fuel consumption isn't taken into account, or the settings don't allow it, so it isn't put on the setup screen. i doubt that though.

I wonder if it will be featuring an option where if your racing online with friend's and to make your tournament that touch more realistic,i wonder if there will be a qaulifying lap added in there.I can see it being a feature in the 1 player career but not too sure about multiplayer.
I am sure we will find out before release though if SIMBIN manage to hold the Q&A request,as someone has asked that particular question in there.
Just looking at these screen shots though really does make the game look even more exciting.it's going to take a lot longer for that perfect tune setup than it has ever taken on any other console racer i have played which featured a similar but much more toned down version of setting a car up.

It would be seriously disappointing for there not to be any fuel. It's probably the most basic way of adding pitting tactics into the game. It's absurd to see the minute details of camber (though I do not disregard it's importance) put in with beautiful, meticulous detail, and to see something like fuel go missing.

that session where the screenshots are taken could be from a game mode where the fuel isn't needed, like timetrial or something like that, a bit like forza's hotlapping mode... or it could be like Formula one where you set the fuel load on a seperate menu before the race...
The only reason I referred to the fuel setup is that on Race 07, the fuel setup is included on the setup screen. These are laid out differently, so the settings could easily show up immediately before you launch a race for example, but as I haven't seen a fuel guage (apart from one nagge(I think) found on a MoTeC) it doesn't bode well.

If its done like Forza, almost all of the fastest laps are set in free run, where there is no fuel indicator. I think that in free run the weight from the fuel is not present in the car, that way you don't have to spend 40 laps to make your car lighter.
I could be mistaken though, all I am basing this on is the fact that people almost always hotlap in free run where there is no fuel or tire indicators.

actually it is a dis-advantage running in free run because the fuel doesn't go down, but also the tyres don't wear and you have the ghost car to race against, This is why you can go faster as ou get longer into a stint in a long race in multiplayer because the tyres and fuel are at their optimum, but you won't get any faster on hotlapping.

Ah ok. Well even though multiplayer can be faster, you rarely see it at the top of the leaderboards. I think it is because the chances of running your fastest lap when the car is at its optimum are slim.
Thanks for clarifying that for me.

The fuel doesn't go down, but the lack of tyre wear, and the totally different physics when tyres and fuel are not on sim change some general driving characteristics. It's all about settings, and you can run the same settings in MP as you can in free run, so theoretically you can go even faster in MP than free run using dark:draftdark: (ooooh. I said something evil!)
Case in point is Maple Valley D-class. I can run 1:37:9s in that one, but if tyres and fuel are in sim, I'm about half a second slower.

Too right - it should be slipstream ;)

Is this the screenshot you mean?

Fuel remaining indicator is of course bottom centre of the motec
I wonder if your fuel load is calculated automatically at the beginning of a race or qualifying session by your team? Maybe with the longer GT races where pit strategy is required you can select the amount to refuel with the pit-in menus.
Fuel left is visible in every screenshot that shows the Motec, as well as videos where you can see the fuel ticking down.

Found you Tako!
Will be v dissapointed if fuel use is not an intrinsic part of the game. The ability to run different strategies would be a big loss grrr
IGN just posted the images that came with the GT class vid.
You can see the fuel counter in every cockpit.
