I guess this will only apply to the people who will be using the 1 player career mode.I am hoping the first set of race's are'nt like 3-4 lap's,i am hoping for proper 25+ lap's in career mode racing.

What about the rest of you?do you think more or less is needed for a decent career mode?.

some nice 20 minute races would be nice, and i wouldnt even mind a few like 3 hour races as long as you could save them somehow. 3 hours in 1 sitting would kill me but doing an hour a day or something would be ok, especially if its a proper endurance race

25 may be a bit high, but 3-4 isn't enough either. I guess I'm saying somewhere between is my preference, say 10-15.
Even better would be to let the racer choose :bravo:

I would love 25-30 lap races. I never really cared for 3 lap long races. I wonder if there will be endurance races because I think it would be fun to run a long race every once in a while lasting 2 or 3 hours maybe.

Yes,that would be good,or perhaps one day we will get a racing title that when you pit in,you then have the option to save game and return when you have more time.

Myself though i like huge amounts of laps as it gives you even more time to learn the track and car your using.

Three laps is long enough having to race with the AI, I'm just going to get through career mode to get on with some proper racing ;)
Having to race 25laps in a mini against AI doesn't sound that appealing to me.

A FEW endurance races would be cool, pit stops are big fun running FM2, makes you take care of your tires

Of course the races will start small. This isnt an elitist game where the producers will set out challenging and demanding races from the very start.

Im guessing it will start with some time trialling, or a game where you hotlap to choose your team, faster you go = more open up. Or something like that

It depends how good the AI is, if they will give me a good race and are running the same laps then it will be ok, but if im 2 seconds a lap faster it does get boring, so i make challenges up of trying to pit and still win or trying too lap everybody :)

I think longer races are better up to a point.

For a million pounds a race and a pussycat doll waiting for me at the finish line, then I'll do 70 laps a race no problem...but against ai on the 360 with the chance of crashing on the last lap and having to do it all again? Not really.

Personally the more laps there is the better for me. However no doubt at first the races will be short.

I would also like leaderboards for the career. I used to enjoy the challenge on FM2 because of the consistency required.

+1, I hope they have a rollup for every mode like FM2. So I can beat IVORBIGUN at them again.:)

If Race PRO was to feature a career leaderboard, atleast it would make more sense than most of the career leaderboard's on Forza 2,apart from the likes of the spec event's or strict class event's,all the rest were bombarded with early career events but leaderboards had R1 and U class times on them, those made no sense as they were no different from the hotlap leaderboards.

But in Race PRO all car's will be strictly for certain events,so i can see it working much better. That is if it has one of course but i doubt it will.

First of all, hello.

Long time listener, first time caller.... well, actually that's a lie. I've only just strolled over here from the Forza website. I'm getting seriously excited by the impending arrival of RacePro and I'm praying it's half as good as I hope. As a long term lover of Forza 1 & 2 I'm looking forward to an accurate simulation game, Simbin have an enviable record on the PC for delivering real depth. Fingers crossed that RP is stunning.

I've really only a few hopes for this game, to be honest, if it handles as well as Forza I'll be over the moon, if it adds more intelligent pit stop strategy, Y'know, the things that drove us wild on FM... no aero repairs, no setting fuel loads before the race. And if it didn't let you take a top flight R1 car into the baby classes and destroy the opposition.

It's nice to see some of the legends in here as well, GeorgiaDawg, He1lbringer, IVOR... these people have sat at the top of nearly every single leaderboard I've tried to make a dent in over the last 18 months. Can't you people go and play something else and give me a chance? ;)

Anyway, the countdown is on and I can't wait!

D'awww you called me a legend :o

Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy :D

LOL, but seriously, put me in a room with Georgia/IVOR or set a HLC up and they'll probably walk away from me in the end :D

Although Georgia, do you recall the Endurance race at Suzuka last year? You were in a team with Chris? I think thats the only time I've beaten you :D

I've been racing Georgia recently on FM2. I shall have to set up a room so you can join us for some races.

Had a superb race on Road America last night although poor old Georgia couldn't catch me.:salut2:

I do enjoy racing against Georgia though. An excellent racer who is also a true gentleman who always makes online racing a pleasurable experience.

Sure man! I am generally quite busy with IFCA Racing events & HLC, I barely get too much time to play anyway as job has stepped up a notch - but if I dont you can guarantee a few good races in Race Pro :D

Yea, I remember that. I blame that one on my brothers dog. Was keeping his little chihahua (sp?) while he was out of town. So, I'm sitting in my recliner, feet kicked up and just starting the race. All the sudden I notice this little head popping up and down by my feet. Enough to distract me into the wall...lol. I felt bad for Chris, but he ended up lagging out and my time was the one that got us into the A lobby so atleast I did some good.

And yes Ivor, you ran away from me on that god forsaken track. Next time we'll have to take it to Motegi or Suzuka just so I can redeem my self. Maybe I'll host the next one and we can do C class Chevelle's as well:laugh:

And Twisted Scrote, I appreciate the compliment as always. I known I've seen your names here and there on scoreboards, so definetely some good work on your part as well.

Just wanted to say thanks to Twisted Scrote for your kind comments.

Never really classed myself as anything special on FM2. The problem with FM2 is I fell in love with COD 4 upon release and neglected my racing!

Just going back to the career and if they do have career leaderboards I hope the A.I don't get in the way when you lap them. The amount of times the A.I caused me to crash on FM2 was irritating especially when doing an endurance race and you put in endless perfect laps only for the A.I to spoil it on lap 25!
