Just to state the obvious, this is not the new Turbo S wheel (which is compatible with 360/PC/PS3). So this review cannot give you any insight about the Turbo S wheel because that is a completely new wheel, there's no way to know everything they have tweaked or changed, even though the wheels appear similar on appearance.

For example on the Turbo S they have default clubsport stainless steel shifter paddles (on the review they show the Turbo only has plastic buttons). Also, the clubsport pedals are very high-end and completely different design. And they complained about having to bind the pedals, not liking that wireless, etc. The new pedals are completely wired.
# Fully adjustable wired pedals fully made of metal
# Pressure sensitive load cell sensor
# Maximum brake force adjustable
# Contactless magnetic sensors for gas and clutch with unlimited lifetime
# Vibration motor on brake pedal to indicate blocking tires (only in games which support this feature)

Did you even read my post? If you are that ignorant then why say something just to confuse people?

If the only difference is a chip to handle Xbox 360 then explain the long development time and all the testing they have been doing? Or how about the new wired pedals, or new stainless steel shifter paddles?

Just to state the obvious this thread is NOT about the new Turbo S Wheel So this review Will NOT give you any insight about the Turbo S wheel. You have your own thread about the wheel you are promoting even though limited numbers some of us cant afford such things but i also note that in the Vid on the wheel is the Xbox Guide button why place such a thing im sure MS would not have allowed blatant use of there system if it was not to be used?

I'm not quite sure why you just repeated what I said with 'not' in capitals, but ok. I don't have my own thread on this forum as far as I'm aware? :mefiant:

Also, I have been promoting the wheel in a way due to my enthusiasm for it, but I assure you I am not being compensated by Fanatec. I would just like to see a high-end 360 wheel succeed with sim racers, then maybe more wheels will be produced (many others have been complaining continuously about the lack of high-end wheels). I was mostly defending it against the G25 which also is a high-end wheel so somebody would have to be pretty determined to shell out that kind of money in either case.

I never said everyone can afford the Fanatec wheel did I? I have the MS wheel myself and it is a very capable wheel for the price. The Fanatec is higher quality and costs a higher price; almost makes sense doesn't it?

Also I don't know what you are asking about the Guide button? The Turbo S will have the Guide button because it is licensed from Microsoft.

Hi m8 i Apologise i really thought you had a thread about the Fanatec Turbo S but i was wrong..... nearly all posts ive seen regarding wheels youve emerged promoting the wheel which more than the majority cant have and in my eyes gets tiresome reading such posts although i would love such a wheel its not gonna happen as they have already said its limited hence why in your sig you have your issue number. then again as i said with previous post i noticed this in the vid

Maybe they have and are planning a retail version as im sure MS wouldnt allow that... incase you think im wrong check the exact same time in vid and also before then you see it when he picks it up you see the guide button.

I can only hope there is a cheaper version comes out for the masses

wireless pedals and stainless shifters has nothing to do with how the wheel works, I talk only about how the wheel works.motor, belt drives ,everything giblets in the wheel is exactly the same as in the general 911 wheel,it is only electronic there is more then it can be used on xbox360 and an outlet to the headset, it's just my opinion

And funny enough, its only the xbox360 parts they are testing

I don't feel that I have been 'promoting' the wheel that much. I've made some comments about the wheel in response to others and in threads pertaining to wheels, and I felt I was being mostly informative. If you are so annoyed by hearing about this great wheel which you can't afford then perhaps you could simply not read topics regarding wheels like the one you are now posting in?

Also, I do not have any issue number in my sig as far as I'm aware? :mefiant:

I'm still having trouble understanding understanding what you are talking about with the wheel licensing and the Guide button, and what that has to do with retail. I see why you screenshotted that picture however, clearly that is not the Turbo wheel. They have put in the press shots of the Turbo S wheel into their video, maybe accidentally I do not know. The button itself actually lights up different design depending on what system it is running on (PC, PS3, 360). And yes, I have read that the wheel (Turbo S) is fully licensed by Microsoft for Xbox 360. So they are not infringing on anything and they are perfectly able to sell the wheel anywhere for retail or what have you, because it is licensed. The Turbo wheel is not compatible with the 360 at all and cannot ever be due to the different architecture that the 360 must use. You see the same thing in Logitech's responses about the incompatibility of the G25 with the 360. It is simply not possible to make those architectures work with the 360 with any kind of firmware or software update. It requires a new hardware design to be compatible.

As for Fanatec making a cheaper cross-compatible wheel, I am right with you on that. I would love to see another wheel, maybe something like they are doing with the GT3 wheel for PC/PS3. Make a completely wired wheel concentrated on just performance and for a cheaper price. But I feel that the Turbo S wheel needs to sell well in order for them to continue investing in 360 wheel development. But if people want to see another wheel from them for 360 they should definitely at least email them or post in their forums, etc.

Would still say that Microsoft's own xbox360 steering wheel is for children, amateurs or people who do not have as much money, if you have money for it and is serious racer, there is no doubt it's 911 S wheel 10sur10

So how many reasons do you need to post to convince us it's the wheel for you? That's 3 now...

Seriously though, plenty of top times in Forza 2 are from folk using the MS Wheel and there will be with this new game too.

By all means buy something else and, if you pay up to 2 to 4 times more for that something else and what you bought wasn't better then well, that would be news...

But don't mislead about this wheel, especially when people are asking in threads about it, for specifics. I'm sure they've seen all the silly gt5p g25 fan boy nonsense before, and that's why they have to ask to actually find out what this wheel is really like, not to find out how low the self esteem is amongst game players. It works perfectly well and is absolutely fine for playing a game and there is no need to spend more, unless you want to. That's all it is too, whether you're an adult, some kind of professional and have lots of money, when doing this, you're just playing a game.

have you tried the other wheel yourself so you know what you're talking about, you could try looking at Forza2s forum and see how many people are looking for a better wheel :nono:

But enough about it

How many here have ordered a Fanatec wheel

Have ordered "PURE EDITION" myself

What "other" wheels would I have to try to state what I did about you or the MS wheel?

If you'd have any constructive opinion about the MS wheel that you'd experienced or read on the Forza Forums, I wouldn't have replied.

In fact, if you'd shared the vacuous nonsense you did only once, I wouldn't have either.

Twice did overdo it a bit. But I think we got your message that, for some unstated reason, you don't like children. Fine. Stay single and keep away from schools and you probably won't run into them.

People out there, do not listen to him if i really want a quality steering wheel, which is huge difference in quality and the way it works, then buy in Fanatec's steering wheel, it is not so very expensive. Have had 2 MS wheel myself, so I know what I am talking about her.Read in everything called forums, people are crying out for better steering wheel for xbox360 and finally we get it " Fanatec " 911 S wheel yaaaaaa.

It seems like everyone on this forum has been complaining about the Fanatec due to price. But you can just order the Pure edition right now and that is very affordable for the high quality you are getting. Then hook up the pedals you may have from a MS or G25 wheel. Or just wait until you have money and later on you can order the pedals or shifter set seperately. You don't have to buy it all at once in a single package.
