Well, it was moved off of other up-coming release lists. So it looks like we are in for a bit of a wait. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! madred:

On the other hand, HoE should now exceed all of our expectations. RIGHT?

Better to delay and get it right than rush it out of the door........:respect:

That's around the same time when Atari released TDU way back in September 2006.

No disrespect, but how could this game possibly be rushed with nearly 5 years of development time? Can someone from Atari come on these boards and justify this ridiculous delay? I have a feeling it's more of a publisher's decision rather than a need for more development time. Jesus, at this rate Il-2 will be released first, and it was only announced 8 months ago. This is bull.

I agree with Aviator...but now the reason has been released to the public....

I also agree with Aviator, the game looks pretty much finished :S so it must be a publishing delay. This recession sucks :(

Based on what? I don't think you can tell from screenshots or videos that don't cover 100% of the game.

No but maybe we can tell because of the long-listed march release date, but now we know red-mile is in big trouble it seems unlikely that there is many development issues and more likely that there are publishing issues. i expect the game wasnt 100% complete, but i dont think it was too far off, so hopefully if this is the case it can be published sooner than we think :)

Sorry mate, but myself and the others posting on this board have been following this game since 2005, so that's what it's based on:Knowledge. Please don't patronise the loyal 'Heroes' fan base unless you're gonna give us some concrete info on what the hell is going on with our beloved game.sour:

Doesn't seem to be based on anything related to knowledge of game development though. You can't tell if a game is finished from screenshots. They don't show the screenshots with any problems.

No disrespect in return but I never said the game was rushed. The final months of a games development is crucial for fine tuning, tweaking and bug finding/fixing.

The last thing anybody wants is a show stopping bug half way through.
No game is perfect, but extra polish never hurt........:respect:

Are Mods supposed to be flaming people who visit their boards?

I thought the game looked almost done months ago. Not from screenshots but from a video that was about 5 mins long of some guy, seemingly a member of the dev team, playing the game.

I don't think anybody would gauge the progress of a game just based on screenshots.

kalniel

Let me rephrase that then. No-one can judge if the game is done based on 5 minutes of video - as I said earlier. They won't show things that still need work in the video.

LOL. You're right. mdr1

I guess after a year of videos and screenshots, and four years of development time it's only normal for us fans to think the game in close to compleation.

And I've never seen a mod jump into an everyday conversation to tell somebody that they don't know what they are talking about. It's good to see you care enough to do so.
