there is a note in the front of the manual

'this game can only be played if your xbox 360 console is set at pal-60'

now i have my 360 connected to my hdtv via the component lead and run the game at either 720 or 1080. there is no option for me to change to pal-60 when i go into the display settings via the xbox dashboard.

am i missing something?

if memory serves me right, the xbox will select pal-60 when you go and change the display settings in the xbox display settings itself, not in game.

If you have a HDTV and running in HD it's irrelevant, your HDTV will run at 100Hz minimum, rather than 50Hz (old PAL TV's) or 60Hz (Most modern PAL TVs) which the game requires.

I think its just a reference for those using CRT TV's, if you are using HD there is nothing to worry about.

If you're in HD then it's irrelevant. PAL 50 and 60 is only for SD. It means people playing in SD must play it in 60hz.
