can someone tell me please - at what part of the game does slipstreaming kick in? i've not experienced any yet :mefiant:

When you close enough ! , the amount does differ between cars though.

It's definately there, there is a gain of a few mph when in a tow, and is far more pronounced with the higher downforce cars.

You're probably not noticing it much as the affect is not as obvious as it is in Forza, but then Forza's use of slipstreaming was far too unrealistic....no where near as horrendously unrealistic as GT5P's but nevertheless it gave way too speed advantage down a straight to a following car. RP's seems more spot on to me.

Yes there are lots of different variables!

If you want to sample the best slip streaming then try some of the openwheelers at Monza, there you'll see it in great effect.

Slipstreaming is totally there. It is not overdone like it is in most games. Stick your nose out to early and you can kill the whole effect blowing your chance of making a pass.

It's harder to notice because there aren't any ovals in Race Pro. tonguegre
