Car Packs

everybody and their dog are going on about track dlc, but as the loading menu says there will be car packs as well, so has anybody got any suggestions ?

personally i think simbin could do this in a very good way, for example, imagine they release a v8 supercar pack (theres only 2 cars to model, then just liveries) and release that with 3 aussie tracks (phillip island/bathurst/melborne park) for say 800 ms points, would be a great deal.

any thoughts?

That would be beautiful, but i think i heard whisperings of a BTCC pack, which would be pretty dissapointing, since they're pretty much the same as the WTCC.

ahhh but the not the currant BTCC which is tbh rubbish now . Were taking about the 90's era of BTCC . Which was legendary .

Ahh now that would be good, not sure which years they were but the years that you raced in Toca 1 and 2 on the PS1 were great.

Ahh now that would be good, not sure which years they were but the years that you raced in Toca 1 and 2 on the PS1 were great.

Yea i thought only untill recently i was the only one in the world who liked that game lol (i was 7) . It appears not. Good old Toca 1 on the Pc 10sur10. fav car was Tim Harvy'sPug 406

mid 90's btcc was brilliance, it would be fantastic if that rumor was true

i wouldnt mind a dtm pack myself, coupled with the nurburgring/hockenheim/euro-speedway, and you'd be able to run a pretty good championship, seeing as we've already got obslerleben (??) plus the dtms would be pretty close to the wtcc extremes in terms of performance, so it would satisfy the speed-freaks aswell !

i would like to see some gt cup cars like the gallardo gt3, porsche 997 gt3, and ferrari f360 challenge.

the ktm x-bow gt4 looks like it would be fun to drive too....

i think we need all the bugs and annoying things fixed before they stick their hand out again, i for one wont buy anything else from them until they do

i want the bugs/glitches fixed first and foremost, but im looking beyond that, and hopefully can put some good ideas into simbins head, so instead of releasing rubbish stuff, its stuff we as a community want

After using the cars in RP to this point my first hope would be as you say, give us the V8 Supercars and at least those tracks you mentioned, now that would be a treat and yes I'd opt for the coin to get em. Great idea.

Lotus Sunbeam,that takes me back. The 2nd car I ever owned was a 1600 talbot sunbeam,rear wheel drive, used to go like stink.My mates got a Mk 1 escort mexico with a pinto lump in it as well, he bought it for his 12 year old when he gets older (or so he says , I think it was a bit of BS to keep his missus quiet). These older cars would be great with just the 2 oldies we,ve got at present. Wonder if they can program the capris so that the back end wants to come around and meet the front just as they do for real.

I think BTCC would be a good small add on as it basically needs some new liveries and a few new cars. But I think the Ginetta G50 championship could be a fun DLC :bravo:

I read on Thomas' blog, part of the team at fanatec working on the porsche 911 turbo S wheel for the xbox 360, that one of the DLCs would be support for the new pedals and shifter...hope a porsche car pack is part of that DLC as well.

Will any other xbox 360 or ps3 games actually use all of the features of this wheel and clubsport pedals? Mainly the brake vibration, because I am sure that a few will use the clutch.

of course Simbin is very interested in this wheel but the supüport will not be from the start. It will come with a DLC which should be available at the time we ship the wheel.

Clutch support is likely but the vibrations on the brake pedal are unclear as we need to tweak the system a little bit. This works for sure on PC.

Hell yeah, except Holden, to be trueblue surely it has to be holden.
Perhaps a name change to redwhitenblue? :wink2: or maybe blacknblue after holden smack ford up a bit, around the paddock this year :)

Not true

Unlike stated stated in the A.S.S. news and quoted by me, Henrik Roos or Simbin have never confirmed that the new title will include content based on the 2009 WTCC season. Seems like something was lost in translation, we still have to wait for more info on the game’s planned content.
