I have just got the game and installed it, as soon as I input my serial number it came back with an error message (14).

Can anyone advise me as to what the problem is please?

Have you tried the support as listed in the back of the manual?

Have you tried the support as listed in the back of the manual?

The sad reality is that I purchased the game from Atari's online shop and all support is via them.
It seems its a activation error, something to do with mis-configured servers I gather.
They advertise '7 days a weeks support' which is a lie, I have read that some people have waitied for a response over this error since the game lauched!

They don't respond to emails at all.

many thanks

If it's a server error have you tried again since? Which support emails have you tried?

Yes, I try the server every 30 minutes or so, and I have emailed each email address six times each over the last three days [twice a day]

Which email addresses have you tried? Don't send more than one email because you might cause your original to get lost in spam prevention.

This is insane, the UK ATARI digital download distributor [gamesplanet.com] support which operates 'seven days a week' haven't responded in four days.

Ok, I spoke to a very nice guy in ATARI support who was very understanding and has resolved the situation by promising to post out a retail dvd of the game.
My only worry now is this 'error 14' will pass on to the retail dvd version.
He assures me its a crc download error but I don't know.

I cleaned out the registry of all keys associated with CPCW, ATARI and TAGES but STILL my key details appear when I hit 'play' [followed by error 14]

However, after the clearing out of the registry of CPCW keys the installation was much better and completed cleanly.
It does worry me that the fault will never go away until I find all keys associated with the corrupted data from their Digital Download distributor.

Twobells, you might want to install the latest Tages drivers from http://www.tagesprotection.com/5.5.htm to solve the "error 14" issue.

Damn I missed your answer by a day. Atari UK sent me out a brand new retail dvd which I received the first post the next day.

Thanks for your input, I had no idea Tages had updates like video drivers.
I've bookmarked your link for the future.

Thanks v much.
