Multiplayer problems!!!

My ping is 999 continuously. It is possible for me to join a game, but after 10-20 seconds I fly out of the game, reason for this must be my ping of 999. It is also possible for me to host a game; the game is visible and other players can join, but after 10-20 seconds they fly out of my game. Hope someone can help me with this problem.

Have you ever played the servers that have a ping of 999? If you have are they very bad with lag and unplayable?

Have the developers of this game allowed people to run their own custom servers? Then maybe the game you find is set to show 999 for every player by using a mask to hide the real ping. Why would anyone do this? I think it is so players can’t use the ping to gain advantage when choosing what server to play. If you can’t tell what your opponents disadvantage is then this would help with the “science and art of military command as applied to the overall planning and conduct of large-scale combat operations” (the strategy).
