There is little freedom of speech on here and all we see are locked threads with statement like "See forum rules" or similar. The rules I think should then be changed. I mean just look at the state of this forum. It's disgaceful when everyone seemingly has the same opinion of RP but thread after thread gets either locked or deleted.

If I was in PR management for RP, I would at least once a week visit here and give some kind of update to all things RP. You know... Tell us how the fix is coming along, set-up some competitions and stuff. Basically, keep it's customers in the know, but all we get is "You'll get info as soon as it becomes available". That is simply not good enough and with modern technology the way it is, it doesn't take much effort to post a couple of lines to keep us sweet now does it!

What do you want us to do simbin?? We want to enjoy RP but you need to know where we are with this game. Mods are making this task more difficult for you and placing everything in stickys is not the absolute answer. You need to read our threads too!

Moved to internet discussion as this is the best place to discuss possible changes to the forum.

Modern technology still hasn't got to the point of being able to predict the future, therefore it is hard for developers and publishers to update much further than they already do, which is quite a lot if you look at the info they've given. What's more you only have to look at other games to see that players don't react well to information that changes - as it will necessarily do in game development. For every person asking for more information there's usually at least one asking that they don't give information until the product (or patch) is finalised and can't possibly change.

That said, we have been awaiting some additional personnel at Atari who might be able to help out on the PR side of things. It's still early days, but hopefully the situation might improve a bit soon.

As for reading threads, developers really don't have time to trawl through every thread and every forum out there every day - collating information into stickies makes their job a lot easier, as they can just visit a forum and immediately find the information at the top of the page.
