I've just bought this game via online download and don't have the room on my C drive to install it to however I don't seem to be able to find any option to specify which drive to install to, any help anyone?

Thanks

The option is there somewhere. I wouldn't think the download version would have a different installer than the retail version (which i have).

Select 'Custom' on the 2nd screen.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately I don't have that option I only have the following screens:-

And after screen two it just goes ahead and installs to C: drive

That screen sugests it just unpacks the game to that directory and after that it will start the game installer. Change the 'c' to another drive and then after it is unpacked see what happens.

If you change the directory remember to delete the temporary files after the game is fully installed otherwise you will have 7GB of un-needed files on your HDD.

Thanks again for the reply, unfortunately I've tried changing drive letters on the second screen but the installer just seems to ignore it and start to install the game to drive c: it does however try to extract the installer files to the different drive I specify.

I'm considering just mounting the bin files and extracting them to try and install them, maybe that will work.

This looks like one for the developers (assuming they wrote the installer) - you could try their forum directly:

I had a quick look and couldn't find anything about it, but they seem to be quite good at picking things up considering how busy they must be.

As I have never seen those screens I believe they where designed for the download version. I got an option in the installer to do an easy or a custom installation.

Have you tried to cancel the installation right after it started and take a look into that temp directory you specified? Probably you can start the installer manually from there an get the custom option - just a thought...

Hope it helps,
B.

Good call B. Might even be worth looking in the directory before cancelling, in case cancelling clears it out again.

Thanks for all your answers and help, luckily I've got another machine upstairs with enough room on the C Drive so I just ran the install from there and let it extract the files to it's temp directory. I then copied that folder to my usb hdd and cancelled setup. Went to the other machine and installed from the extracted folder.

Not the best solution if other people have the same problem and only one machine but it worked for me.

Thanks again everyone.
