Hey,

I'm having some quite annoying sound problems with Dark Athena such as frequent interruptions from the music and voices. The sound effects are working as intented, but the voices and music just pauses itself every time, and it's rather frustrating..

I updated my latest sound driver ( realtek ac' 97 ), directx, etc. Im running the game on win xp. I tried several things to fix it such as lowering sound acceleration, uninstalled all codecs, reinstalled them ( k-lite, ace mega, etc. ).

My game is updated aswell.

I've seen some reviews where people mentioned that they aswell had similar, if not the same, sound problems..

I'm pretty much helpless as I have no idea what to do anymore..It's pretty much unplaylable, and I would hate to say that I wasted my money..

try updating it to version 1.01 with the patch if you havent already. I have major crashes with it too. we will have to wait for them to release the next patch for the game. Try updating your videocard drivers too if you havent already.

And try going into control panel>sound>speakers (the ticked one) properties>advanced> then lower the default format to CD quality. If you have the sound frequency too high it can cause sound distortion and problems with some games.

I already mentioned I updated, and turned down the sound acceleration but didnt help.. a lot to wait until a new patch..which may not fix it at all.. lol
