I've had RP since launch. I love it, but I have a problem - I'm rubbish.

I get my backside handed to me every time I race online and between work and family commitments, I just don't get the chance to spend anywhere near as much time with the game (or any game) as I'd like.

I would imagine that most people on this forum are seasoned racers and expert tuners, but if there is anyone out there who is interested in racing online, but are maybe unable to give the amount of commitment it takes to get good enough for it to be worth your time (or if you are like me, you are just not very good) then I am looking to arrange for a race or 2 this Saturday evening (6th June) from 8.30 pm (GMT).

In keeping with this spirit of the game, I will be looking to set up races on Professional (i.e. no driving aids) but using only default setups, so please, no tuning!

This is just a one off request to see if enough people are interested (if any), so if you are add your GT to this thread or send me a PM.

All the best,

JP. (GT - Me JP). :salut2:

Good stuff mate. See you there!

As far as what tracks and car classes to use, we will put that to the vote at the time (I'm a big GT fan myself). I would prefer to run shorter races (say 5 laps), but it's what everyone (I hope there will be at least a few people interested) agrees on.

i'll race with you too long as someone can tell me what time that is EST? I think it's 2:30 pm?? And I need to redo my career for the 3,000th time (lost again last night -- argh!)

EST is GMT-5 hours (I think). So 3.30 pm EST. I could be wrong though.

WTCC or Minis it is then!

Ill race with you, i think touring cars would be better as it is easier to have close racing with touring cars than gt cars although i do love all the GT cars.

I'd be up for racing in this way.

i am quite slow too, usually between 1 and up to 6 secs slower a lap than some people, if i win (which is rare) it is because the others get penalties or wipe out, or go off fighting with another car....i'll look out for your GT, but like you, family commitments, and the wifes TV watching mean i'm not sure what times i can play, and how long i can play.... those others who have said they're up for a race are quite quick!!!!

This is either going to be a good laugh or a total disaster!

I've send everyone I can friends requests so I'll send you all invites about 8.30.

If you've not had a request (it's nothing personal, I'm just disorganised) and you want to race, send me one (Me JP).

Not too sure. I will stick about as long as there are people to race against, although I should really get my head down about midnight as I've got to be up at 7 tomorrow morning.

Hope you enjoy your meal. I can guarantee it will be better than what I had (if anyone ever offers you a cornish pasty with chicken in it, take my advice and just say no thanks).

Many thanks to UKOGwill, Tiddys2k and AZT Cactus. You guys are legends!

That was a fun night of racing (although I am now aware of exactly how rubbish at this game I really am).

Sorry that jammydodgerman and HeronAddict25 could not make it. Hope you had a good evening anyway.

All the best,

JP.

Tocafan, please feel free to add me too. I'm pretty slow as well. I do my best but still have fun with this game.

I'm stateside, but on it a lot at night, so hopefully can jump in some races.

Sorry, if you weren't there you will never know about the legend that was the Sunday Driver, Saturday night session :wink2:

Beavers, Stevie Wonder, a Moose and some really bad driving (from myself - no gravel trap was safe), we had it all.

Sorry, we are swarn to secrecy.

Besides, if I told you you might not be able to handle it and I would be responsible for your possible complete physical and psychological breakdown.

I can't take that risk. You should be grateful.

Really, you should.

I spent more time in the shrubbery than on the track.

Simbin should bring out Race Plough : Massey Ferguson Edition.

I reckon I would be OK at that.

I like the idea of cutting the grass and ploughing/raking the gravel traps before the practice session though. lolblue:

I like the idea of simulating the entire motor racing experience too.

But you have to draw the line somewhere otherwise we might end up with Race Pro : Lavatory Attendant, or Race Pro : Beverage Vendor.

Someone better lock this thread soon. It's getting out of hand!

I will for sure buy race pro beverage vender. Of course it will have simulation vending physics :)

Don't suggest that! This is currently the only thread with any activity. If this gets locked then RP is officially dead if that aint the case already lol!

Joking!!
