Recently it was asked if there was still interest in this game and many said no it's dead, and of course being a mod here I jumped in and said actually it's quite active and races fill up quite quickly. No doubt some thought I was mainly doing damage control so here's a video of a race from 2 nights ago (8th July) to show that there is still plenty of people playing and large races are not extinct. :nuts:

Of course the video also shows some of the flaws with the game but the racing is not one of them

When are the peak times then... No one is on when I've tried to play. 2-3 half empty WTCC rooms max. And WTCC is boring.
Around about now 10/11PM (it's almost 11PM UK time), there's WTCC, WTCC 87, GT Club and GT Pro at the moment. Player Matches of course.
From now for the next 3-4 hours.

thats always bad news for me because form maybe midnight on i've learnt even while wired on coffee i just dont have it in me to keep to a racing line somehow i wish the peak time would change by maybe 2 hours :(

I was having a really hard time finding races during the times that I play (late night USA West Coast) and I came to find out that many rooms are private and if you build a few friendships (race clean) in public rooms then race invites will start coming. I play most everynight and many of them I'm in a room with 10 people. I'm also in a series now running WTCC87 cars with some really good people. Just hang in there and you'll find a group to run with. As for ranked matches, that seems to be a bit harder in my time zone. I'm hurting just to be in 50 of them for the achievement!

Borrowed and played it over the weekend (or tried to) and it's pretty much dead on live! Managed to find just two races in 1 hour of searching. That said, I did enjoy hotlapping again so I am going to get a (very cheap) copy again - yay! There are not many games out there that are cheaper than DL content for it but there you go. If I want Imola I will be paying more for that than the whole game itself lol.
In 1 hour you only found 2 races? Maybe only 2 races you wanted to run but there is certainly more races than that in this game. What time did you go on?
BQuiet: You are right, there are a good number of people running private lobbies and if you can get in with them then racing often is a certainty.

I was looking for any race to join and it was around 9:30pm til 10.30pm. Must have been because there was something good on telly or something. Maybe I'll try again another day.

well we get on and race most weekends and its always full for us its a great game and easy to get on plus you dont get booted unlike in forza maybe thay should take a leaf out of our book if you want to race then race pro the game you can keep your forza its not as good anyway
