I recently purchased a copy of The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (PC) from the Musicland Ltd (Greece) independent seller on Amazon UK.

This copy has no Serial Key included with the game. The spot on the back of the manual where I assume the key should be printed is blank.

I have contacted the seller who has commented that the entire shipment has the same problem and that they came direct from Atari.

Obviously I cannot just be given a key here and now, and I understand that the issue is likely to be resolved between the seller and Atari. However I just wanted to post to find out if this has happened before or not, who is to blame and what the Atari advised course of action should be.

I would like to play the game I paid for, which as of yet I have not received. If anything all I have is what anybody could get hold of from just about any torrent site.

Suggestions appreciated.

I think you should get a full refund from the seller - I've not heard of any copies in the UK that didn't have a serial key before. You have not been sold the product being advertised so you are fully protected.

I had the same problem with the copy I bought from Game. I got in touch with Atari who asked me to give them the serial that is on the disc itself (on the silver side running around the inner central 'hub'). Once I had done that they were more than happy to give me the serial number that should have been included and the game runs perfectly.
