Evening lads.

Had to use system restore to fix a problem, and went back past install date. Tried re-installing and received cyclic redundency check error on "film lacznik.bik". Had a look at the disk, and there are a couple of scratches, so it looks like I am scuppered.

Could you please advise me on what I do next? As I haven't finished the game yet and am obviously a little upset.

You can try a scratch fixing kit, or just toothpaste and careful polishing - most scratches are just in the lacquer rather than the metal underneath so polish out fine.

If you're in the UK and can prove that you didn't scratch the disk then you can return it to the store you bought it from for a replacement.
