#4 - NASCAR - Sunday 27 September 2009

Some of you have already heard the plans and have pledged interest, so here's the official sign-up thread.


Car and track details are subject to change, if better replacements are found.


Cars
Everyone will be in the same car - the Audi R8 road version. Everyone will use the cockpit view.

Track
Everyone will race on the same track (obviously). I have 2 or 3 suitable tracks, and will test them out tonight to pick the best one.

There will be a very short qualifying period (5 mins), then a 30 lap race. There will be a mandatory pit stop, so you will need to come in and change your tyres while the pit window is open.

AI
Assuming we don't get loads of people wanting to join us from these forums, there will be ~20 AI drivers at 95% joining us, to make things more realistic. We'll aim to have 24 cars in the race, so assuming more people sign up for this, there will be less AI to compensate.

Ok - here are 2 oval tracks. You can get them both if you like and i'll make my mind up soon.

Tracks get installed to ...\Steam\steamapps\<username>\race07\GameData\Locations
In there is where the folder goes which contains the various files.. Some tracks might get you to add stuff into the UIData folder as well.

Some guests have come over unexpected, so I won't be able to make it. I've put Andrius in charge, so you can go ahead and race NASCAR or anything else, or we'll postpone until next week.
