off topic:badly damaged game

i was playing on battlefield 2 last night and then suddenly my 360 starts to sound like a chainsaw, after wondering what the noise was i opened up the disc tray and realised that my 360 had just scratched battlefield 2 to pieces . has anyone else had this problem with any other game?

Do you have your 360 in the vertical position? and if so, how level is your floor? sounds like part of the laser assembly has been touching the disc.

Happened to my oblivion. This was becouse I knocked over my console and it created a 1/4 inch ring around the edge, still works but I gives up every so often.

My 360 is vertical on a coffee table thing!, all my games work fine except PGR (when i turn it on, i get a message saying to play this game put it in a xbox 360), though it plays other times. It also has a ***** from the centre to about halfway to the edge (think this was caused by the dodgy cases on early 360 games

Your disc might be slightly warped.... so slight that you would never notice.

EDIT: I found this , it might help if this is the case.

my TDU is scraped, and it does get loud. After something like the 1st 2-3 weeks of play, my sound started to really skip. this problem comes and goes.
My 360 sits vertically

My bro knocked over his 360 and it destroyed the saints row cd, he called microsoft who couldnt do anything, but he called the company who makes saints row (whoever that is) and they told him to send the danaged game & case back to them and they sent a brand new game out 2 weeks later! For free!

Yes it is technically very good and a quick fix of great fun (esp. the mayhem and insurance fraud missions) but the plot is weak. Haven't played it online yet and probably won't get around to it.
