Any point in buying TDU for a Xbox 360 Core system?
Hi,
New guy here! I'm getting an xbox 360 Core system for christmas to use as a media center extender. However, I can't wait for the PC version of TDU to be released, so until then I'm thinking of buying it for my 360. But will it work on the Core version of the xbox 360? It has no hard drive so how do you download the updates and bug fixes? Can I play online without these updates? I'm confused! |

If you want to play online with a core system, you need a Memory card or a Hard drive. Updates can go on a memory card, but its not very large, so one car pack maybe 2 max i would expect. But you will need a memory card at least, because theres no point of playing tdu without game saves.

You will need at least a memory card for most things. Have you got a game reward card becouse the've just sent a thing of money of vouchers with money off xbox 360 accessorys?

Of course it will work ;-)
I hesitated on buying a core or a premium (or whatever it's called) version. But then I figured it would cost me more to buy the HDD separatly, so I went for the premium version and got it for a good price with a game on ebay. The premium also comes with a wireless controler and a remote controler...in the end, it all depends on your budget ![]() |

A memory card would do your savegame and 2 carpacks probably, photo's etc would probably need another as would other games, personally I would buy the Hard Disk Drive as well, as 2 Memory Cards are close to the cost of one anyway and you can get on on ebay pretty cheap also.

TDU oldie!

i got the core - the memory cards were allright... ish
they do their job, but in the end i bought a harddrive. the hardrive looks more sleek than peices of plastic sticking out the front or your xbox. but the original xbox support with the hardrive is what does it for me. i have now got 10 original xbox games despite never owning the big black brute. (all pre-owned, costing around £6 average...) the way i see it is that a decent game is a decent game - if i can get as much fun from a £5 game as i can from a £40 game then cheapodelic me says old. i still have to put up with the white disk tray as punishment for my crime of paying £70 less though...
