Developed by Japan-based Cavia, Bullet Witch is set on a bleak planet earth in the year 2013 with human kind on the brink of extinction and hideous demons creating a tidal wave of destruction and havoc. All hope of mankind’s survival rests with Alicia, a beautiful witch blessed with magical skills and a swift trigger finger. Players must guide Alicia in her heroic quest to prevent the decimation of mankind by wielding fearsome weaponry and using her unusual and spectacular powers to manipulate natural phenomena in her environment.
Features:

Weave astounding magic: with her fearsome arsenal of spells Alicia can turn the city into a sea of roaring flame, cast a deadly meteorite shower, invoke a devastating tornado or assemble a murder of crows to consume all that lie in its path.
The advanced physics of Xbox 360 allow for glorious environmental damage, providing the perfect platform for Alicia’s spells to be represented in all their majestic cataclysmic glory; be it the catastrophic summoning of tornados to rip through the city, or elegant spells such as her rose throw where the roses’ stems lance enemies.
Alicia’s hefty staff-like weapon, the Gun-Rod, helps in battle to defeat the hordes of demons by firing bullets created from the souls of her defeated enemies. The Gun-rod can be transformed into an even more powerful weapon to completely obliterate those who stand in her way.
Horrific demons come in all shapes and sizes, some causing earthquakes or abnormal weather conditions and others spreading plague and manipulating human minds. Some even have the power to reincarnate the dead as brutal monsters known as Geists.
In-game demons are designed by one of Japan’s most prominent creative talents in the field, the globally acclaimed Yasushi Nirasawa, who has been responsible for designing movie creatures and action figures as well as creating his own range of figurines.

sounds mental, but in a good way

by destructible enviroments, this better be as good as red faction (love the multiplay!)

FYI, Official Xbox 360 Magazine gave it 4 out of 10. Their main gripes were a sluggish control system, random deaths and Xbox-like graphics.

No one else has reviewed it yet, which always makes me suspicious.

There's no way I would consider this game without playing a demo from Xbox Marketplace, but if it really is as bad as OXM say it is... there won't be a demo, will there?

I agree with you... but then there's also the fact that they've brought the release date forward from 9th to 2nd March. The only time I've ever seen this happen with video games is when the publishers know they've got a turkey and they know it's going to be panned by the critics... so they try and ship it out early and hope enough people will buy it before the bad word has spread.

Just a friendly warning though.

How about the game went gold ahead of schedule? It seems far more realistic than your strange conspiracy theory.

Ah okay, and you didn't have time to send advance copies out to the magazines or get a demo up on Xbox Marketplace? Please. I've been working in software development for 10 years now, and it's been standard industry practice to rush out bad product ahead of schedule for at least twice as long as that; don't patronise me.

Good for you...

The game went gold earlier than planned. It's not a plan to take over the world... They just finished early have you ever been to Atari? Seen how hard they might push their developers to get the games in stores ?

I thought you were making a big deal of one week, actually. The press get their copies well in advance, you might have noticed TDU reviews and release is quite a way away.

I'm rather off topic,but what do you program in? (Taking that you are a coder) I've been programming in numerous languages for a while,just recently picked up C#,hoping to make a living out of it.... If you guys feel I'm too off-topic I'll take this to the PMs...

Anyway...I'm not seeing good reviews...shame,I was looking forward to it....but hey I love Driver:PL and it didn't get the best reviews either....I might rent this game sometime!

I would give it a 7 haveing completed it once. All it needs is a sprint button and 2 or 3 more different looking bad guys.

Also maybe allow you to switch the aim from right to left with a click of the thumb stick. Hopefully it will sell ok and get a sequal? But a lot of people i know are waiting for it to go to £20 or less.

Angry Terrible Game

I felt so strongly about this game that i filled in those stupid registration forms to complain about this game. i doubt i''l ever use this site again but in the hope that some poor unsuspecting consumer is wondering wether or not to purchase this game please please follow my advice.

UNLESS THEY ARE GIVING THIS GAME TO YOU FOR FREE
DO NOT BUY BULLET WITCH

It just cost me 75 euros to find out that still with all the great advances in game design control stlyle and play games like this sneak into main stream development, yet another game to make some money with little or no effort gone in to making the game itself.

A tired storyline, limited customization options, repetitive gameplay, terrible voice acting, Xbox graphics. Avoid this game at all costs.


Atari should be ashamed for putting their name to such a third rate, outdated game.

i won't even give this game the title of worst game ever even that's too good for it.

I see Gamespot gave it 5.5 and IGN gave it 4/10. There seems to be a pattern here.

BTW & Off-topic, I'm a Java (J2EE) programmer. It's probably the best language for developing enterprise systems that communicate with other external systems. Business software is where it's at if you enjoy earning lots of money. Game programmers are paid quite poorly by comparison, especially in the UK.
